Warsaw, Poland, 26.05.2009. Both with my wife, we visited Venice between 16.05 and 19.05, staying in Locanda Ca'Amadi. We have mixed feelings about this b&b because some comments were not good. Anyhow, finally we were very positively suprised. We ordered room with canal view and it was very good choice. Ca'Amadi localisation is very good, about 200-300m trom Rialto brigde.... more

What a hidden gem! Everyone on here is complaining about the streets leading to the hotel and finding it; Yes, the alleys do get a little narrow and Yes the courtyard isn't spotless but this hotel also shares it's surroundings with the residents of Venice so it is not going to be the Hilton. It all adds to the charm... more

We arrived at this hotel late on a Friday night. After several mintues of ringing the doorbell a person answered and given the background noise I could here it led me to believe they were out socialising. The person was rude and told us we had the wrong hotel even though I had the confirmation details in front of me.... more

Our room was small but the bathroom was good sized and the location was excellent. Close to almost all parts of Venice, yet quiet and secluded. The staff was very helpful, breakfast was nice, and the little restaurant near the hotel was quite good. We were there a week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A warning, we paid for... more

We arrived in Venice on the night train from Zürich. We had a wonderful time touring Austria, Germany and Switzerland. As we found our way to Ca'Amadi we were appalled by the garbage, graffiti and smell of urine. The street we followed became more and more narrow and dirty. Needless to say were were nervous about what I had booked... more

We booked 3 nights at Ca Amadi a month prior to travelling. On arrival we were told that though we could be accommodated for the first 2 nights we would be moved to another hotel for our final night as they had overbooked. We had not been contacted prior to arrival that there was a problem with the booking. They... more

Beware of overbooking at this hotel. We had reserved a canal-view junior suite with Expedia but when we arrived we were told that our reservation was overbooked and we were given a room at the nearby Hotel Santa Marina - however the room was small and scruffy with a view of a courtyard wall - all for the same price.... more

We are a family of 3 who stayed here late last year. We booked online through online travel booking. We were very happy with the room. Like everyone else says here, the rooms are beautifully decorated. We stayed in the suite which overlooked the canal. The room was very large with a separate area for our 12 yr old son.... more

My wife and I stayed 4 nights here in late April, at the recommendation of my brother and his wife. We loved this little hotel! This is not a fancy place, though it is tastefully decorated and sufficiently modern. With only six rooms there isn't a large staff. Usually there is only one person on hand (we especially liked Francesco).... more
