Hotel nice but no coffee device. Paid big price for standard room thru Holland America. Better prices they in line booking. But had advantage if trams from airport to hotel and to ship. Hotel near St. mark's Basilica and bridge. Good location for everything.

Our family booked two rooms and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights- tonight will be our last night and we can't wait to leave. This hotel boasts a traditional Venetian style but it is actually just old and run down. This hotel needs to be upgraded and soon - attitudes as well. After spending all day in the heat... More

This hotel is very comfortable. We stayed in the Rezedienza which is a separate building but just as comfortable and easier to come and go. Breakfast was in the main hotel on the other side of the canal and there was plenty of choice. It is about 3 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco. A perfect place to base yourself... More

If you are booking your room via a famous website like booking, hotel.com ... You will not be sure to get a 4* room And from our experience decline the room 307 if it's what they propose to you ... We booked it for 2 adults + baby 200€/night Finally hotel asked us on top 20€/night for baby crib !!!!!... More

Should have probably expected the low quality with such a cheap price close to St. Marks (US$225/night) but this hotel sucks. The staff was not friendly. After saying 5 minutes we waited 40 min in the lobby because they forgot about us. The room was on the '3rd' floor but after walking down a long hallway we had to walk... More

When you pull up to the entrance from your water taxi, you step into a beautiful hotel with amenities rare in Venice (most hotels are SO TINY!) The decor, especially in the garden restaurant, is superb (lots of Murano glass of course). The rooms are spacious (again, for Venice) and the staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable... More

the room is too small. Not good. Location is not good too. Everything is bad. I don't recommend !!

Lovely hotel very close to St Marks Square, Rialto Bridge and shops. Hotel staff very accommodating and room (115) large with view of canal. Air conditioning was not brilliant and was on all the time - we personally would have preferred it to be cooler. The hotel has its own landing area so no carrying cases around Venice so long... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
