The room was in another building down the street from the hotel. We had to carry our luggage up several stairs with no help. The room was nothing fancy. We were glad it was for only 1 night. The only positive things about the hotel is that they let us store our luggage for several hours while we explored Venice... more

OK I know that you have to pay an arm and a leg for a central hotel in Venice but if you do stay here and you have booked into the hotel make sure they don't try and palm you off into another building over the street. We were shown to a dodgy little room up four flights of stairs... more

Stayed at the Lux hotel in early September 2008. It has a fantastic location but that is all that is going for it. The Lux has a great location, right near the square. Imagine our surprise when upon checking in, we were told our room was down the alley, around the corner, and down another alley. Stayed at the Lux in April of 2008. Beautifully decorated and marble tiled hotel. The rooms were quite nice too. Excellent location only 1 block from St. Mark's Square.
