nice hotel, though rooms were quite dim and gloomy. I had to have every light in the room on to see the room would get really hot even in the middle of winter and the thermostat was broken (buttons ripped off, screen flashing) so I was unable to change it the wifi was not free and actually quite expensive (1hr=€2,... We stayed at Hotel Lux in early January and bearing in mind ALL buildings in old Venice are very small. we were very pleased with our stay. The staff were very pleasant and always had time to chat to you. We stayed in the main complex and as expected the rooms are very small but well furnished and very comfortable.... More

We stayed there for three days over the new year 2014 , we are a family of four when we arrived we realised that we would have to lug our luggage up three flights of stairs to get to our room and upon arriving at our room we had a queen size bed in the middle and two fold out... More

Had a three night stay there end of November. Only real downside are the stairs, had several flights of stairs to deal with daily, as we were on the top floor! Did ask for a room on a low floor, but they do have seats for you to sit down on each landing, which was a good job. Location is... More

Having read some of the reviews here I felt I had to add my opinion. 1. It's Venice...and you have a problem with damp??!!! then do't go to a city sitting in a lagoon! 2. You don't like 'old' ? why are you in Venice? 3. Yes the rooms are small! It's an old hotel! Why are you spending so... More

when you choose a hotel, i retain that you have to consider many aspects: the city you're going to visit, your budget, where its located and positioned, service and personnel, etc etc and, of course, if in the end the price was right. with this in mind, i can state that i found Hotel LUX beyond my expectations. first of... Note that this hotel also does not have a lift. Our room was on the 4th floor. You must walk up one flight to reach the check-in desk. Then we had to walk up 3 flights of steps to our room. The third set of steps is quite narrow. To be fair, we noted a number of hotels in Venice... More
