We had to carry our luggage up 3 floors & down - dirty, smelly stairwell. NO free WiFi Stained bed covers, worn carpet & mouldy smell in room. Breakfast was another issue, enough seating for 10 guests, pathetic offering for breakfast, 2 cereals, hard bread rolls, yoghurt, watered down powdered drink. Tea / coffee. You were restricted in choice they... More

We were there for a night. We were put in a different building in than the main address which was not very adequately maintained although it was clean. In the morning only a few people got hot water. When we told them the reply was that the boiler is very small so cannot handle a lot of people at the... More

Set over 3 separate bulidings we had to carry our luggage up 48 steps - dirty stairwell. Bathroom - cracked mouldy tiles, broken shower rose. Stained bed covers, carpet. Descending the stairs to get out was in the dark ! Breakfast was in yet another building, enough seating for 10 guests, pathetic offering for breakfast, 2 cereals, hard bread rolls,... More

The hotel is very worn and basic by American standards with a very narrow stairway and merely adequate air condition. However, the hotel is clean and comfortable with an amazing location (1 block from St. Marks square). A good option for someone that wants to have the location without paying $600/night.

Worst experience ever at a hotel. Staff was rude. The room hadn't been cleaned properly and the comforter was visibly dirty. Then my wife actually saw a RAT INSIDE THE HOTEL. NEVER EVER GO TO THIS HOTEL.

Rooms were very small. Bathroom had cracked and broken tiles, toilet seat was broken. Water ran all over bathroom floor when showering. Hair dryer didn't work. Breakfast room didn't fit very many people at any time. No lift for luggage and difficult to carry up narrow stairs.

This was the worst accommodation we had in our 3 week trip. The rooms were dark, tiny, a lot of mould on the bathroom ceiling. The bed mattress had roll together and hard. We asked for a change of mattress or a bigger room, but neither were addressed. The breakfast was dismal, along with the small dining room which fitted... More

I stayed at the Hotel Lux in Venice last August. I should have submitted this review back then. Nonetheless, here it is: The Hotel Lux in Venice was the worst facility I have ever stayed in. Lux should not be a part of the name of this so-called hotel because it denotes a hint of luxury. It's not even close.... More

Absolutely terrible.... Put on level 3 with a horrifyingly narrow stairwell. Luggage just fitted but almost impossible to climb stairs if you're not young and fit. No staff assistance even though two were present. Happy to watch my 6 and 8 year old daughters...and wife help me though... Card didnt work for room on one occasion... A/C was not functioning...actually... More

My dear travellers, Do NOT make the mistake of staying at this hotel in order to spoil your stay at Venice. The service is terrible, the rooms are like prison cells and the breakfast is worse. Don't just go by the location, you deserve better than just that. Do your research before settling for this hotel. The rom coolers do... More
