Perfect location to situate yourself for a short stay, as a couple, whilst in Venice. A nice clean hotel with a relaxed atmosphere.. A downside Breakfast is 'European'; with a choice of two cereals, a small variety of fruit, yogurts, jams, meat, cheese and cake - I personally felt the breakfast left room for improvement. The coffee and croissants however... More

This hotel has a good location (not far from the CaD'or) and very nice decor, it has clean and spacious rooms and good continental breakfasts. The staff were friendly and we had a good stay. There is a charge for wifi or it is free at nearby bars.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff are so friendly and speak fluent English. They are always willing to go out of their way to help you. Something which is all to rare in Venice! The rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable. The best bit about ours was the large bathroom! Breakfast was what you would expect in... More

Just back from three nights in Venice at the Apostoli Place and it was a truly fantastic stay. The accommodation, the service and the warm welcome was excellent. Didn't realise until after booking just how good this location in the Cannaregio district actually was, being 5 minutes walk from both the water bus stops of Ca' d'Oro on the Grand... More

We found the hotel perfectly located to main attractions. Just 5/10 minutes from everything. In this area you can also find many bars and restaurants where you don't get ripped off - bonus! Venice is a place where you need lots of euros. Don't park your bum on or near St marks square unless you're loaded! Hotel was very clean... More

We stayed in Apostoli Palace for 3 nights and we truly enjoyed it. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to the vaporetto stop and in walking distance to main sights. Our room was little bit dark, but clean and quiet and with a modern bathroom. The breakfest was surprisingly delicious (for Italy)! Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this small hotel, in a quiet street although close to Ca d'oro (5mn walk) Welcoming staff , very clean room and nice furnitures. Also very convenient for Alilaguna boats coming from the airport. On the minus side, the beds were not confortable, matress too old and the prices very different according to the period you... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
