Great location near San Marco for a reasonable price considering that hotels in Venice are very expensive. Our room was small but cute and comfortable. It little difficult to find in the alley. Breakfast was OK but served its purpose.

I stayed at the Hotel Castello from the 6th till 12th June 2014 The weather was wonderful the hotel is down a little alley way found it quite easily, our room was typically Venetian style a bit dark but we didn't sit in the room all the time the room was clean with on suite which was also clean and... One man that worked there (in the mornings) was very unpleasant and unhelpful and really made us feel unwelcome upon our arrival. Breakfast wasn't great and wifi was only available in the eating area. The room was okay. Bed was really uncomfortable. Great location!!!

Helpful and friendly staff, great location, 5 minutes to water bus (station St. Marco), good bathroom. If you need plug adapter just go out from the hotel, turn right, then turn left and you'll see photo store. poor breakfast

The hotel was very central. Rooms was nice and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Check in and out was very efficient. The only downside was the no internet in the rooms and was not very stable. With 2 teenagers it was a bit of a problem. We will be back I am sure. Thx Hotel Castello

This hotel was not fancy, however, the room was very comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the location was excellent! The front desk staff service was varied, some were warm and friendly, one gentleman was clearly not happy to be there! We were only in Venice for two days and we would definitely stay there again, when we return to... More

The previous review must have been in a different room to us. We had the triple room on the top level. The bed was good and the air con superb. Although there is no lift, the stairs are not hard to negotiate. The staff were very good and helped with directions for the hospital when we needed it The room... More

So bad we abandoned this hotel despite no refund. A block away was a hotel with the same star rating and was wonderful! Check out Ca' Dei Conti instead. Staff was not as friendly at check in as we would have expected from the reviews. Room was so old each bed spring was visible on the beds without even sitting... More

We stayed at hotel castello at the end of our 2 week stay in italy. The room exceeded our low expectations for a low cost room right next to San Marco square. The location as expected was perfect, it was an easy walk from the vapparetto station to the hotel, and it was located very close to San Marco square.... More
