I could write about the beautiful room, the wonderful breakfast, the excellent location or the unbeatable views but the story here is the service. I chose this B&B based on all the above and the previous reviews. I will recommend this property and hope to return one day based on the outstanding service we received. We were warmly welcomed and... More

I only visit Venice in the winter when it’s quiet and cool. This time I was accompanied by my mother and sister and Cima Rosa suited us perfectly. Cima Rosa is in the Santa Croce district, bang in the centre of the city so less than an hour’s walk from everywhere - 10 minutes to Rialto bridge, 20 to San... More

I cannot speak more highly of this amazing place and our incredibly attentive host Britteny. She is an American married to a Venetian with a young family They have managed to set up this beautifully designed B&B. The rooms are superb, our room had our own bathroom...across the hall. We were able to leave our toiletries there because it was... More

We stayed at this b&b during a week end in Venice. We were warmly welcomed by Daniele. The rooms are really nicely decorated and the view on the gran canal is amazing! If you suffer from light sleep think to take ear plugs because quite a lot of boast pass on the canal. The breakfast is really good. And the... More

We had a lovely stay at this excellent boutique B&B in Venice. All the staff/owners were very helpful and pleasant. Gorgeous rooms with views over the Grand Canal. Convenient location near the water taxi stip. Importantly their restaurant recommendations were spot on. Would very much recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was just amazing. The rooms were beautiful (we booked the room without the view of the canal) and there was a wonderful lounge/kitchen area where you could relax and watch the boats go by. Brittany and Lisa were just so lovely and attentive. They even let us stay in the house for... More

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Cima Rosa during the last 3 days of Carnival. The B & B has a great location being only 2 minutes from the nearest vaporetto stop , a 15 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge and 20 minutes on the water bus to St Mark's Square. The room was fantastic with a great... Cima Rose is a beautifully appointed B&B with a fabulous view. Hosts are warm and welcoming and the breakfast is generous and of high quality. Our bed was very comfortable bed and gorgeous bed linen, we really felt like we were staying in a palazzo. The atmosphere is calm, restful and also renovations are respectful of the history of the... My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at CimaRosa for 6 nights this January. It was fabulous in every way. Our spacious room was luxuriously appointed, a beautiful blend of old and new. The lead-light windows opened onto a sensational view of the Grand Canal. The ensuite bathroom had everything one could wish for (ours had a shower... More

We had stayed there in an off season time and maybe because of that we had such a wonderful stay without much of tourist disturbances considering that we were staying right there on Grand Canal which is one of the popular places around here. That was the reason why we picked the place in spite of being a little out... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
