My wife and I stayed beginning of December 2015 for 3 nights in the very tastfully decorated Elegant Suite with views to the Grand Canal. The location of this classy Boutique B&B is perfect because it's in a quiet part of Venice without the big tourist crowds. The watertaxi stop is just a few minutes away from CimaRosa. There is... The B&B is located really near the San Stae station. The location was perfect (walking distance of the most important monuments, whilst being away from the hoards of tourists). Brittany and Valentina were extremely kind and made you feel welcome and at home from the first minute you arrive. They also give you really good tips on what to see/do... More

My husband and I stayed at the Cima Rosa in the autumn of last year. The memory has lingered and I feel compelled to write this review! Cima Rosa is a wonderful place to stay-views over the Grand Canal, spacious rooms, luxurious bed linen and freshly prepared breakfast. I could go on and on about it but suffice it to... More

The trip my mother and I took to Venice was amazing because of our stay at Cima Rosa. What a beautiful little hidden gem this place is. We felt like we were staying in a castle right on the canal of Venice. The location was wonderful (only two blocks from the water taxi station) and the building and rooms were... More

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was beautiful and extremely clean. Location was excellent for everything. Most of all it was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - nothing was too much trouble for them - helping make dinner reservations, providing information about Venice (the stuff you can't find in books) Helpful as well... We came to Venice for a little couples getaway mainly just to relax, sample some traditional Italian food and drink, and soak up a bit of the Venetian culture- gondola rides, St. Mark's square, Doge's palace etc. CimaRosa was the perfect place for everything... We stayed for three nights and absolutely loved it. The room had loads of character and... More

Very conveniently located in a quieter set ion of Venice, the rooms are right on the Grand Canal and furnished tastefully. The amenities are great as is breakfast, and it is all run with great help and service from the proprietors. Couldn't ask fro more of our Venice experience.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights with my girlfriend. The location was a bit tricky to find, but everything else was great! Breakfast was fantastic, room was tidy and clean, hotel was right next to the boat station, and the breakfast was the best I had in Italy. Staff was very friendly, offering suggestions on transportations and where to... More

My husband and I stayed at the bed and breakfast for a few nights in December after the Christmas holiday. Generally speaking Venice is beautiful to visit this time of year, however the hotel was a major highlight as part of our trip. The facility is small with five guest rooms, but everything is beautifully decorated and well-maintained. We booked... More

Well I am not sure what all the fuss is about, giving this B & B a 5* rating. The CimaRosa is a decent B & B but nothing more. We have just returned from a stay there in early December and there were several things that could have been better. We had to ask to have the heating put... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
