I stayed in CimaRosa in late March 2015 and have dragged my heels writing this Review in case I never manage to book a room there again! And yes, I very much hope to stay there again and again ... Owned by an Italian/American couple with the design taste to which I aspire, everything about CimaRosa is wonderful - the... More

My family and I spent a wonderful week at Cima Rosa. Brittany and Lisa were very warm, welcoming and helpful in planning excursions and making reservations. Cima Rosa is a lovely B&B in a great location, with a peaceful, modern, clean atmosphere, complete with a stone courtyard, perfumed by the scent of potted flowers. We had a delicious breakfast every morning.... More

C & N (London) From start to finish, we loved our recent 5 night stay at Cima Rosa; a stylish, charming upmarket boutique B&B in the heart of Venice. Situated right next to the Grand Canal (only a stone's throw from San Stae vaparetto stop) in a quiet area off the main tourist trail, it is set in a beautiful... More

CimaRosa is a great boutique bed & breakfast with only 3 or 4 rooms, so book early! Brittany and Lisa were both great in making us feel at home. We had breakfast in our room every morning overlooking the Grand Canal from our windows. The outdoor courtyard in front was private for hotel guests only, and a good place to... More

CimaRosa was recommended to me by a friend and I am so pleased that I booked on their advice. I wanted to a very special place to take my husband for his 50th birthday and CimaRosa and Venice were perfect in every way. Both did not disappoint in any way. I booked a suite at CimaRosa overlooking the Grand Canal... More

This is a wonderful B and B. My daughter and I stayed in one of the Grand Canal Suites and loved it. The building is amazing, rooms are well appointed, and the staff so helpful. The family/living room where the breakfast is served is lovely, and Melody made a great breakfast everyday. The wifi in the room was excellent. This... More

I could write about the beautiful room, the wonderful breakfast, the excellent location or the unbeatable views but the story here is the service. I chose this B&B based on all the above and the previous reviews. I will recommend this property and hope to return one day based on the outstanding service we received. We were warmly welcomed and... More

I only visit Venice in the winter when it’s quiet and cool. This time I was accompanied by my mother and sister and Cima Rosa suited us perfectly. Cima Rosa is in the Santa Croce district, bang in the centre of the city so less than an hour’s walk from everywhere - 10 minutes to Rialto bridge, 20 to San... More

I cannot speak more highly of this amazing place and our incredibly attentive host Britteny. She is an American married to a Venetian with a young family They have managed to set up this beautifully designed B&B. The rooms are superb, our room had our own bathroom...across the hall. We were able to leave our toiletries there because it was... More

We stayed at this b&b during a week end in Venice. We were warmly welcomed by Daniele. The rooms are really nicely decorated and the view on the gran canal is amazing! If you suffer from light sleep think to take ear plugs because quite a lot of boast pass on the canal. The breakfast is really good. And the... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
