First, the bed in our room was the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept on. Secondly, we were put into room #3 and could hear some sort of machine all night long which made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. This is not the hotel fault but Murano closes down early in the evening making it difficult... More

We stayed at the Hotel Conterie for three days after arriving in Venice at the end of a cruise. Having visited Venice before, we decided to stay on one of the other islands and happily chose Murano. The hotel is charming, having been the home of a glassworks family since 1500. it has been modernised and is comfortable, unpretentious and... More

OK - where to begin. We as a family have stayed in Venice several times. However - since we all like Murano and the other islands nearby we thought we would stay a couple of nights in a Murano hotel. Not much choice here, so Hotel Conterie it was. Now we wish it hadn't been. Right from arrival it promised... More

Stayed for one night, immediately after his arrival at the airport. Very convenient location for a quick settlement (one stop from the airport by speedboat alilaguna) and subsequent visits to the islands of Burano, and Mozorbo Torchelo. Rooms small, but cozy. In late February, warm enough. Breakfast poor - coffee, croissants and muesli. Staff friendly, will be able to leave... More

This Hotel is located in a quiet area on Murano Island. The room is basic but fine overall. Location is the main problem with this hotel. Having to get boats to and from the main island get tiring and it makes you wish you spent the extra money to stay in a central location. Avoid the breakfast, unless you enjoy... More

A basic place to sleep is what you get here. Don't expect anything from the staff, they are of no help. There isn't a lot near the hotel but I guess that is what to expect when staying on island of Murano rather than Venice proper. It didn't ruin our time in Venice by staying here certainly didn't enhance our... More

An excellent base for exploring Venice and the lagoon; we were a bit nervous about being based out of the city, but it's ideal; just a 5 min walk to the vaporetto which takes 10 min over to the city. We had a room in a house along the quiet street from the reception, which was really well decorated and... More

Important! After alighting the Alilaguna at the Museu Fermata turn left then right down the first alley. When it opens to a piazza turn right. You will encounter a fork with a concrete "feature" (I don't know what that thing was) stay to the right. Locanda Conterie will be on your left. I start with this information because I turned... Staying in venice was too expensive so we chose this hotel because of the special price for staying 3 nights. The hotel was nice enough apart from the stairs to get to our room which was the last one on the third floor and no lift. The room was 'L' shaped and spacious enough with a nice new bathroom. Blackout... More

I have stayed here with my girlfriend between 4 and 8 August 2011 and found the hotel to be charming and in a very nice setting. The hotel has two parts, one with the main lobby, and the other one a few steps beyond on a narrow path [formerly a canal, now covered]. This leads onwards to a beautiful sun-drenched... More
