My parents stayed internet sited offered a room with a view. So when they arrived they enquired about this and told there was no such thing, when it was obvious there were windows looking onto the canal. With no shower near to their room, they had to wash in the sink. And to top it all off a staff member... more

This hotel was the worst. We booked a double room but they gave us twin room. The room was simply dirty. The bathroom is on the other side of the hotel. The only good thing about the place is the location, just opposite to the railway station. Breakfast was insufficient also. We could not get what we paid for and... more

At 120Euros per night for a single ensuite room this has to be good value. I chose the Airone because the location is excellent, situated a 4 minute walk from the Piazzale Roma bus station. The thought of dragging suitcases up and down bridges and getting lost was a bit too much to cope with until I felt I'd found... more

\hotel was great location right across from the train station-room was a good size and very quiet. Although the beds were very very soft as if they needed replacing and the shared shower (onll 1) didnt have hot water for the two days we were there. Having said this staff were helpful looking after our bags all day and storing... more

The location was very good for us being so close to the train station. We arrived in the darkness of night, but had no problem finding it. The property is very, very basic. Our room had the odor of a dead mouse, but the bedding and bathroom was very clean. We opened the window to get rid of the odor.... more

I booked this 2 star hotel not knowing what to expect and have to say was certainly not disappointed. It was in a good location, near to the bus station, accessible, our twin room was very clean, and although we did not have our own bathroom which was reflected in the price we paid, it did not really matter as... more

Convenient to the Train Station and Bus/Taxi stands. Lesson learned, there is a free water taxi outside the Train station to the right, although we discovered after a $30 watertaxi ripoff. Litterally, the hotel is right across from the train station, however the one bridge over the Grand Canal has many, many steps (not good for bad backs or carrying... more

Our family (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed here for a weekend, had to pay premium rate due to the fact that this was a last minute booking. We liked the fact that the hotel is near the train/bus station (we drove and parked in a parking complex just outside 2 blocks from the hotel). We felt sorry for the people... more

We stayed here for 1 nght. It was a great location, right across from the train station and since we arrived and left by trains it was perfect. The rooms are modest, not quite up to the value of 80 euros a night for 2 but I guess everywhere else is expensive in Santa Croce. Bathroom was acceptable and breakfast... more

The Hotel Airone is situated about 30 minute drive by car from Venice. We were overnighting here on our way down to Rome, but managed to spend the evening in Venice and have dinner there before making our way to the hotel. The hotel is classed as 4 star and I would generally agree with this rating. However, our room... more
