I visited Venice during Carnival time and chose this hotel as it looked like excellent value for money. From the pictures it looked like a very stylish location and prices were way more affordable than the majority of the places on offer (especially considering Carnival is high season). I stayed in one of the suites - all white and with... More

Very comfortable and friendly hotel in a great area. Out of the bustle but close to railway station with vaporetta stops almost outside. Could do with tea and coffee making in bedroom. Breakfast very good and plentiful.

We attend the opening of Carnevale in Venice this year and chose this hotel as it is right in the thick of things. The rooms are modern, luxurious and large. It is easy to get every where in Venice and the views of the canal was gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious, offering prosecco and everything you could think of for... More

This hotel was great. It is not near any of the main attractions and I thought this would put my off but it didn't. The hotel is right on the canal which means it is easily accessible and there are 2 waterbus lines that stop right in front so easy access too. Presentation is lovely and my room has amazing,... We could have stayed in the centre but chose this lovely hotel in the Jewish Ghetto area. A modern, Baroque hotel with welcoming bar staff (particularly Andrea) and friendly reception/breakfast staff who all speak very good Enhlish. We loved walking through the fish and fruit and vegetable stalls each day on our way to St Mark's each day. We arrived... More

This is a fairly nice hotel. The lobby and the rooms are very nice and modern, with interesting and unique decor. The hotel also has a very nice garden and is in a great location, right off of the canals.

We liked the hotel but not the location...it's too far from the main interest places and in July it's too hot to walk that distances more than once a day. The only good point regarding location was when we had to leave by train, because is walking distance to the terminal. The hotel itself is nice, modern, with spacious rooms,... More

I booked a room with canal view in late January 2016 for 3D2N. By the way, its in winter month. Hotel location was fine about 7 to 10 minutes walk from Venice S.L station. Room are very clean and spacious with awesome interior design. Bathroom comes with separate shower and bath tub. The lighting in bathroom is so colorful and... More

I chose this hotel based on other reviews...and I am glad I did! It suited us in so many ways..It seemed to be one of the closest hotels to the airport by private boat..and it delivered us right to the front door - no stairs/bridges etc to deal with with 11 pieces of luggage!!! It was a brisk 20 min... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
