I read some of the not-so-good (to downright horrible) reviews, and what comes to mind is the old wisdom that things change with (constructive!) criticism and one should give it a chance, and should always beware of the rants based on personal conflicts, unreasonable requests, the occasional mishap, or cultural differences. I stayed at B&B Exclusive for four nights, and... More

Since our arrival at the Bed and breakfast, we were welcomed in an unpolite and rude manner. At the arrival, they asked us for the additional tax per person, and made a copy of our documents. We asked for the password of the wifi and we were told, we had to pay extra. Soon after, we entered our room, and... More

First rule before your arrival, DO ASK what time you are "allowed" to come. Early arrival or late arrival will charge you extra, 10 euros! And forget about the description, there was NO storage room or towel provided or free wifi. Second rule, DO PREPARE for the insults. If you have a drop face, the insane guy would get pissed.... The B&B is easy to get to located directly from the train station. All sites are within easy walking distance. Clean and comfortable not once did I feel a lack of security. The staff was kind and friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.

The location and price were great. My boyfriend and I simply wanted a decent room in a central location and that's what we found. However, although the bathroom was lovely, the shower was freezing! The breakfast (and I hesitate to use the term) was also a bit of a shock. By far the most disappointing thing for myself was the... More

I have always wanted to have a look at what goes on behind those little flats in Venice. This B&B allowed me to stay in a Venetian style apartment in Venice itself! Our rooms were bigger than expected and very cosy too! Bathrooms are clean and has a homey feel. The all day meal provided are very basic and simple... More

This little B&B lacks service. It could be so much more! It's actually 3 rooms with 2 shared baths. After the initial payment is confirmed and keys are given, service ends. Breakfast is instant coffee and cookies. This place could go up 2-3 stars with more customer-oriented service. I recommend you keep looking or another place.

We booked B & B exclusive with the idea the it sounded quite nice and the price was fair. I've stayed at quite a few Bed as Breakfasts in my day and this is the worst. I should have checked Trip Advisor before. Wow, the reviews are dead on. The location is good, a five minute walk from Piazza Roma.... More

We booked this hotel on booking.com and informed the hotel that we would be arriving at exactly 1100pm on arrival date to check in and were happy to pay the extra $20 for checking in after 7pm. We were at the location from 1045pm to 1115pm and no one showed up to check us in. We had another hotel call... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
