We arrived to the hotel on Sunday afternoon. Since it was on sunday, there was no bus going to the Mestre station. We only had to pay 1 euro per person to the hotel. Hotel took us to the Mestre station and they picked us up as long as it was before 11 pm. WIFI worked great. Good thing about... More

First of all, I'm not that type of man who complains for everything, and I don't like to write anything worng about anybody, but I cannot hold this to myself. Overall the hotel is in nice place, the staff is really friendly, EXCEPT the owner, who is an uneducated j3rk. Sorry for that. So, when we made our reservation, we... More

A new hotel, very clean, comfortable rooms, excellent ac, very hot showers. Quite a reasonable breakfast is included with the room; cold cuts, fruit, pastries, etc., and a machine that puts out very good coffee and hot chocolate, although it takes 4 pushes of the button to fill a coffee cup. A bus takes you to the Station where you... More

Better to have a hotel outside Venice because in Venice it is too crowded (and expensive !). This hotel is ideal for a trip to Venice. There is a bus stopping in front of the hotel during weekdays and saturdays (each 20 min). On sundays the hotel provides a shuttle service to the station, until 11 pm. The ideal way... More

This hotel is located on a rail track but I never heard a train although there were plenty passing by. Clean, new and nice hotel situated in Mestre. Decent breakfast, the breakfast room is full of natural light. We explored another option of transportation to Venice: on foot crossing the highway (it is a pedestrian tunnel) and then just one... Stayed only for one night, but the hotel is quite nice, new and in good location to explore Venice. Surroundings of the hotel is not that nice to look at, but you can easily get to the very centre of Venice where there is more to see. Parking was free of charge, guarded behind a big steel gate.

We stayed 3 nights recently as part of a driving tour of Northern Italy and used this hotel as a base to explore Venice. The Hotel is in Mestre Italy and is quite easy to find with good access from the highway just as you begin the bridge/causeway to Venice and also it is painted bright Yellow. There is free... More

We only stayed 1 night. The rooms and breakfast were good. We followed their directions from their web site on how to get there and got completely lost, as did an American couple who were checking in also, their web site is wrong. I had a snap shot on my iPad, the owner didn't seemed to be concerned. He didn't... More

I stayed two nights at Hotel Alveri. The hotel itself is only 18 months old and the rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed. The rooms are all soundproofed, so lovely and quiet despite being beside the railway tracks. I thought it was great value then, but when I had my wallet stolen in Venice on my last night, that... Stayed for 2 nights september 13 and found the whole experience very good. Room was spotless and well equipped. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast, which was included, was adequate...usual pastries, breads (no toaster) cereals, meat, cheese, yoghurt and some fruit. Bus to Venice (with a connection) is just outside the door and costs... More
