I stayed here in January for a business trip. as a single person, my room was small, but I think this is usual in central venice. The location is amazing, just a few hundred metres from St Marks Square - I paid £80 per room per night B+B which is not bad, but January is the lowest seaosn there is in Venice.
The reception / breakfast area is very beautiful and a lovely first impression.I liked the decoration in the rooms, very venetian with the silk wall coverings and heavy curtains, but if you like light and modern you would find it a bit oppresive! My bathroom was very small, only a shower no bath, but new decoration and very clean.
Breakfast was not bad, plenty of choice of cereals, cakes, pastries, bread, juice, yoghurt etc - but not what you'd call an american / english selection.
The staff I spoke to were all friednly and attentive, I asked reception for a restaurant choice and was given directoins to a pizzeria that was nice and not too expensive.
