A really lovely Guesthouse in the heart of Venice located on a quiet side street close to Campo Santa Magherita. Maria and her mother were perfect hosts and did everything possible to ensure a warm welcome to their beautiful city. The room had everything one could need. The area is quiet and there is a lovely garden to relax in... More

My daughter and I were warmly welcomed by Maria and given excellent information regarding the sites, restaurants and transport in Venice. The location is great as you are in walking distance of the main sites. The guesthouse was clean and quiet. We both loved the small garden and the personal support that was offered. We will definitely stay here again... More

Loved this impeccably-clean guesthouse and its lovely breakfast garden. Excellent location away from the crowds but close to all the sights. Breakfast was disappointing--Coco Puffs was only cereal option and only one type of fruit served; I'd recommend bringing your own food.

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Italy that started with three nights in Venice at the Santa Margherita Guesthouse. The location was great as it was easy to find, by Venice standards, and was close to the Academia area and a short walk from Rialto Bridge. Our room was very nice with shuttered windows that allowed us... More

My experience in the Santa Margherita Guesthouse was a positive one and best summarised as convenient, comfortable and tranquil. The single bed room I occupied provided all the comfort I need: it was spacious, clean, had air conditioning, a fridge, TV and a safe. Wifi is also available throughout the Guesthouse. There is also a nice commune garden where you... More

I had a great time in Venice and the accommodation helped: it was relatively inexpensive (for Venice!), had a terrific host in Maria who is very knowledgable (and helpful and friendly), was in a quiet location, close to a Vaporetto stop, close to the Academia (a must visit) and with a fairly easy walk to St Mark's Square (though you... I really enjoyed my stay at the Santa Margherita Guesthouse. It's a clean, quiet, and well maintained guesthouse with a wonderful host. The guesthouse is located in the Dorsoduro area of Venice, about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station depending on how much luggage you have. You have to cross several bridges to get there, all of which... More

We had four nights here. Maria, the host, gives a very warm welcome and can explain anything you want to know about the place, the area, how to get to any of the sights, where to eat and so on. It's a friendly place. Our room was clean, well looked after, well fitted, bright and pleasant with a view over... More

Maria and her staff are the best and they will see that your stay is all that you want it to be. It was 85 degrees the morning I arrived, the first hot day of this year, and Maria's staff were cleaning filters and turning air conditioners on. Each room has its own temperature control and I was totally comfortable.... More
