A very good stay - friendly staff and high quality stylish rooms. Also a quieter location than many areas of Venice but accessible to museums and main places of interest are within walking distance. There is also a roof space for sitting/relaxing although we did not use it.

We have just checked out of the Pisani having enjoyed 3 relaxing nights stay. The hotel staff throughout were helpful and attentive. Free breakfast was superb the rooms immaculately clean and the beds very comfortable. The location was quiet but not too far from all the main attractions. We plan to visit again!

We arrived in Venice after a short train ride from Florence. The hotel is located near the Accademia and the Guggenheim museums and a five minute walk from the water taxi stop. They gave us an upgrade to a two story room on the second floor looking out on the street. Since there no cars, it was very quiet. The... More

The staff was excellent and despite error by the booking agency, were able to get us into a triple room the next night. Breakfast esp the fruit was wonderful. The wifi and jacuzzi bathtubs would make me rebook with this hotel Location is perfect, close to main attractions and a foot bridge as well as water bus. Art Deco in... More

We stayed at Ca Pisana for a short break in June for the Biennale. Its an Art Deco hotel in Accademia district. Well positioned for boats and sight-seeing. Pleasant staff and nice rooms and facilities. We would stay again

This small hotel near the Academia Bridge was perfect. We had a group of 5 couples and it was a great gathering place--out of the mess of the more crowded touristy places near St. Marks Square. The rooms were comfortable and the staff polite, helpful and friendly. We loved sitting at the small outside cafe area for breakfast and for... More

dear SAPeggy, thank you a lot for your nice review and comments on your stay here at 'Ca' Pisani'. as you pointed out, one of our 'Pros' is the location: a stone's throw from the Accademia bridge, and at the same time out of the crowds. especially in summertime, you can sit outside, at our 'wine & cheese bar' La... Thank you for being so helpful and considerate. Franco made us a dinner booking and other recommendations for places to eat. Your hospitality was incredible! And my wife would eat breakfast there every day for the rest of her life!

A second visit and great help from all ensures we will come back. Close to the Academia bridge makes it a great location. Quiet but close to everything and good restaurants nearby. Lovely décor, sun lounge for the odd break

This is a spectacular boutique hotel in the BEST location. The staff is accessible and accommodating and it is truly steps from everything in Venice. I felt like I was a a treasured guest staying in somebody's home. I had wonderful privacy and lodging, but anything I needed -- from water in my room to a water taxi to the... More

This was a great hotel and the perfect place to explore Venice but still enjoy a romantic vacation! It was very easy to get to the hotel from the Piazzale Roma car park. There is no need to take an expensive water taxi and we just hopped on the vaporetto (water bus) number 1 or 2 towards Lido/St. Mark’s that... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
