I booked 4 rooms at the Hotel Marconi, peak season. I had no idea what to expect. Upon arriving, we were placed in the rear of the hotel. we had to walk down a little alley to get to our rooms. they were ok rooms, nothing special, but clean and spacious and quiet. the next morning hotel management came to... I made a reservations months in advance and when we got there in the rain, we were told we were moved to a different hotel! the other hotel was nice but not on the water as we had wanted. There was no compensation for the difference! More

We arrived at hotel Marconi in the pouring rain! They sorted us out and helped us get warm very fast. The hotel is based in a very central location, walking distance and close to public transport and restraunts. If i went back to venice, i wouldn't go anywhere else. Hotel Marconi is such a great place!! If your thinking of... More

Located near the Rialto Bridge, the Hotel sits near the Grand Canal and evokes an old-world quaintness. It is not a high-tech, modernist hotel. The rooms provide the needed comfortable and are well-maintained. The staff, welcoming and helpful, provided assistance and recommendations. Although we had no problems with our room, some other folks did experience difficulties. We were impressed by... More

As everyone knows, Venice is not cheap. We had reservations at a different hotel...not naming names, it was a dive. So we skipped out and went in search of another place. I had originally booked at the Marconi and cancelled because I thought it looked to touristy being right on the main canal. Well, that is right where we ended... More

I have been here travelling with friends, and we booked a 4 beds room. Everything was fine, we didn't pay very much, considering it's in front of Rialto Bridge, what a pity we didn't get the Canal Grande view from the room. Room was not small as we expected, with air conditioning (we did not use since it was november)... More

In August we (my wife and I) bought one night in Venice through Groupalia with the "roulette" formula, which in our case meant: you pay and you'll be able to stay at Marconi, Cà Alvise, Athenaeum or San Moisè. We reserved in mid August for one night in November and were assigned the Hotel Marconi. I received an official email... More

Stayed in October 2011 for 3 nights and not forgetting that this is a 3 Star hotel we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were given a canal side room with private balcony overlooking the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. Whilst the room was relatively small (as we expected) the bed was very comfortable and the room had a safe (free),... More

Stayed for two days in October with our two boys and also got a room at the back but there was enough space and the room felt like it hadn't changed for 200 years, which was so right for this city. The staff were mostly friendly and breakfast was just fine. All in all a great start to our roadtrip. More

This Hotel have a lot of problems with "broken pipes" it would appear. We too arrived at this very conveniently located hotel near the Rialto Bridge only to be told of the unfortunate circumstances of the pipes and that we had been "upgraded" to a nearby Hotel. Funny that , as some of the comments I had read before going... More
