Perfect only minutes from Rialto bridge. View across canals. Small for triple share but not uncomfortable. Breakfast was average. Friendly and helpful before arriving with suggestions on transfers etc.Would definitely stay there again

The hotel is quite old which is typical in Venice, but the location is simply perfect. We had a view of the Grand Canal and you can spend the entire day just sitting in the cute little terrace to watch the hustle and bustle of the entire city. And to top it all, Rialto Bridge is just a stone's throw... More

We booked a canal facing deluxe room with balcony thinking we would get the room as shown on the website. There are only 2 rooms with balcony facing the canal. Well the room on the website is room 101 but we got room 102 instead. This room is less than half the size of the other for the same price... More

We stayed in this hotel with our children and grandchildren, very close to everything. Water bus stop, Rialto Bridge, the fresh market, restaurants, around the corner we found a little market, pharmacy, small stores. Federico was the most helpful front desk person ever, with a smile in his face answered all our questions. Room is small with no view , Bathroom... More

Nice hotel. Worth for price and location. Very confortable but just essential and minimal on the breakfast and would require some improvement. Courtesy from receptionists and willing to advice good places for eating, outside the common places for tourists where the quality is not really the best.

This is a nice little hotel is a great location in Venice. The inside is just what you would expect to fit in perfectly with your stay in Venice. All very authentic furnishings with all the modern amenities you will need. There is no lift, however, so be prepared to use the stairs to get to your room, the staff... More

This hotel on the Grand Canal was well-located but, other than the bath, in need of an update. The room was significantly more expensive than luxury hotels in Florence and Rome; beds, breakfast, and service were just OK.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Hotel Marconi. When we were checking in the clerk asked us if we wanted a room with a view and we kind of laughed and said has anyone ever refused it and of course he said no. We were given room 101 and it was great! We had a wonderful... More

We really enjoyed our stay. We only got to hotel at 11pm but was still helped by friendly staff. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was nice. The best thing about the hotel was the location and the reception area which felt like stepping on to a 1930's movie set. One afternoon, we returned to find 2 ladies painting... More

Hotel Marconi is just next to the bridge Rialto! Great location. But about the rest you forget it. Very basic in everything. Very small room, no view to the canal, no balcony just windows to a very small road, except some 3 or 4 rooms in front with very small balcony and over priced (plus 100 euro/day to the standar... Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
