Then, you will like this hotel. It is indeed very close to the water bus. That was a relief. However, the spelling of the hotel (based on street) is not what is listed on the maps. FYI: Alboro and Albero are the same thing. So, I hope you don't waste a few hours stressing over that when planning out your... More

we travelled with 2 young kids. after having read some recent negative comments, we were a little apprehensive at first. our fears were unfounded. all the staff we encountered, including the owner's wife, were friendly and relaxed. The rooms are air conditioned and clean, many period features have been retained which adds to the charm. Breakfast was the standard continental... More

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. I can not express how terrible it was on so many levels. After asking for 1st floor (5 heavy bags w/ children) we got a third floor room. Super cramped. Staff was rude and didn't speak english (after advertising they did). Breakfast provided was full of spoiled food. Beds were... More

We stayed here in a triple room for three nights in early July. We had originally booked elsewhere but had to change the booking when another friend decided to join us. Great location to get around - as other reviews state so I won't repeat details - good restaurants a couple of minutes walk (Rosa Rossa our favourite & well... More

This was the worst hotel we stayed in. We had a room on the third floor even we requested for one on the main floor because we had 4 heavy suitcases we were told that it was given to another family with babies. There was no elevator and we had to get them up. The concierge helped but we felt... More

We were running late for the opera and were lost so went into the hotel and politely asked if the man could help us. He shouted at us 'no I am busy get out!' This was a horrible moment in an otherwise beautiful city. Manners cost nothing but I guess nobody told this to this man at the hotel reception.... More

I was very surprised to read some of the negative reviews about this hotel. We spent four nights in this hotel and I would highly recommend it. Family run business based in the heart of the San Marco district, away from the crowd but close enough to walk anywhere in Venice. Literally one minute away from the vaporetto stop Sant'Angelo... Similar to other raters, we walked in to politely ask directions the man behind the counter asked if we were guests, we said no but we are very lost and he proceeded to tell us to get out. While I can appreciate it may be frustrating to get asked directions he could have been a lot more courteous and helpful.... More

Reading some of the other reviews of this hotel I’d like to start with that this is a 3 star hotel. Thus it should be judged more on practicality and convenience instead of design or luxurious features. The location is very good, 1 minute walk to San Angelo vaporetto station for canal grande water bus and alilguna airport shuttle. Accademia... More

I stepped into the hotel just for a second to ask for the directions to the small church which turned out to be right around the corner from the hotel. "I am not an information desk", told me the receptionist. "You are not my guest, and I won't help you"!
