We stayed three nights at Violino d'Oro. We really appreciate the nice cold bottle of prosseco to greet our arrival, the access to a nice balcony and mostly the complimentary "taxi ride" to Murano Island. We met Stefano there and he gave us a private tour of their glass factory & gallery. We took the advantage to continue our trip... More

We have stayed for 3 nights in a family room. It's my 2nd stay in "Violino D'oro" which was in Aug 2002. The hotel is very close to all attractions such as "Piazza San Marco". Just one step from the hotel you can find all your beloved shopping brands "Gucci, Burberry, Salvatore Feregamo...etc.". The breakfast was pretty good. You can... More

Here is the most beautiful hotel right in the heart of Venice. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne. Our room had a spacious balcony from which we enjoyed the spectacle of the gondola parade as they passed along the canal beside the hotel and we listenend to their serenade. It was great fun watching the occasional person loaded... More

A majority of the reviews on this boutique hotel describe it all including its wonderful location. My few comments are on things that I did not see covered. It is close to San Marco vaporatto stop: once you disembark walk straight down the alley in front of the stop. Once arriving at the street (you will be facing the Omega... More

Best location to stay in Venice. We had a wonderful time at Hotel Violino d'Oro. The hotel is half a minute’s walk to Piazza San Marco and all the shops and restaurants are everywhere you turn. The gondola's run right outside our window so you can enjoy the quintessential Venice scenery, while at night you can close the shutters for... More

LOVED THIS PLACE! We were only there for two nights but it became like our second home. The ENTIRE staff goes above and beyond to help you with anything from directions, restaurant recommendations, train schedules, anything you want! They totally made our stay! It's in a prime location - right next to Piazza San Marco and on the Grand Canal.... More

Very nice hotel with easy access to St. Marks Sq. and vaporetto stops. Great showing nearby as well as gondola rides. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was inadequate. We required a floor can to keep the room cool at night. Very complete breakfast. Hotel was good value with convenient location.

We went for a journey of three days. Everything was perfect in this charming little hotel. Very good situated, 5 minutes from the Saint Marc place and the center with all the shop and little narrow streets . Excellent service. Staff is really at your service if needed. Good prices. Perfect adress to keep in mind

Stayed for 2 nights, quiet hotel, spacious rooms, friendly staff, lovely breakfast with a view to gondolas outside the window. Easy walk to most attractions, and close to catch public ferries. Walk a little further from the St Marks area to find more reasonably priced restaurants.

The Hotel Violino d'Oro is in an excellent location. It is on the Rio de San Moise canal, a gondola station is out the front, the hotel fronts a square and St Marks Square is a 5 minute stroll away. We came by vaporetto and the hotel was easy to find and was only a 5 minute walk away. All... More
