The hotel is small and cozy. Located next to a narrow canal but filled with Gondolas all the time. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very attentive. We were also lucky to get a room in the third floor with great views.

Booked for April 2015 following B-i-L staying last year. A fine location in San Marco on direct route from St Mark's Square to Rialto. Easy to get alilaguna ferry from Marco Polo airport. Good price for centre of Venice from hotel's own website with 10% discount on line booking. Booked room with canal view & looked down on regular flow... More

Accommodation in Venice does range widely in terms of price and so you should be sure of two things before going there for the first time : What do you want to see/do and what is your budget? This hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge vaporetto stops for both the ACTV local line and the Alilaguna... More

The hotel is right next to a canal and we had got a room on the top most floor. Though not very fancy or spacious the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helped us carry our luggage to the third floor. We stayed here primarily for the location and could walk down to St. Marks Square anytime we... More

Super little hotel, half way betwwen The Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square - so right in the middle of the heart of Venice. We were on the third floor rm 307, which was fine for us in our 60s, but could be a problem for those not too fit (but then that's true of the rest of Venice too... More

Hotel is decorated in a Venetian theme and quite old fashioned but charming appearance. Greeted by professional staff who are helpful with maps and locations and breakfast buffet included. Located near piazza San Marco shopping/eating areas and Rialto river taxi station. Room clean though very small and very old furnishings but keeping in theme with hotel perfect for weekend/short stay... More

Staff are unpleasant and rude. They have illegally charged my card without my consent. They refuse to rectify the situation and refuse to provide me with any business details to take it further. I would recommend staying somewhere else as my first impression is unprofessional as they seem to be more interested in money than the actual business itself since... More

in responce to your very unfair judgement we would just like to mention that you have never stayed in the hotel so not in the position to give any comment on our rooms and service. You made a reservation with us through a booking channel choosing from the booking form the prepaid one this giving you a discounted rate. The... More

Well located between San Marco and the Rialto bridge with plenty of restaurants close by, this was excellent value for the B and B room rate I paid. This is more of a guest house than hotel, no bar just a small breakfast room that offered an excellent fresh buffet style breakfast. My top floor room up in the attic... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
