My family travelled with my brother-in-law and his family to Italy and stayed at this lovely hotel in Venice. We were fortunate enough to stay at one of their 4-person rooms with a view of the canal. Imagine our pleasant surprise to hear serenades by gondoliers wafting through our windows throughout the day! What a wonderful treat to be able... More

Venice can be expensive but I found this hotel to be reasonable. I had booked a rooftop room with a terrace but when I arrived, late at night, we were given a first floor room. AS it turned out this was the best room in the place and therefore we didn't complain. THREE balconies over the canal and a separate... More

We stayed here in July 2014. I was very happy that the A/C was able to actually keep the room cool, rather than most of the european rooms I had stayed in. Breakfast was great, location is out of the way and quiet. Our room was the suite on the canal and I loved hearing gondoliers singing.

Good hotel in the back streets of Venice in the Rialto bridge area , great location but no lift be prepared to climb stairs . The breakfast was good and plentiful and a great variety. We were in walking distance of San Marco square and waterbuses to get around . The staff were friendly and helpful.

So, I wish I had something to compare with in Venice since perhaps I'm judging unfairly since I realize finding anything remotely affordable in Venice is always going to be a bit of a pain. That being said, I stayed for a few nights and I was fine with it, and I would go back if I had to, but... More

We stayed at the Centauro for five nights and absolutely loved it. We had a corner room on the fifth floor which had two large windows overlooking a well traveled canal. From early afternoon, well into the evening we could watch gondolas and enjoy the singing that sometimes was included. It was wonderful and a highlight of our trip to... More

Overall - good hotel - great location. San Marco near by. We loved our trip and venice. Rooms were clean - but beware no elevators. From the airport take the waterbus from airport to rialto - and then walk to the hotel:)

Hotel was located within walking distance from the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's square. The room was very small and the corners were not cleaned properly. The bed occupied 80 % of the room. There were two steps leading into the bedroom and a sink that you had to squeeze bye to get to the other side of the bed.... More

The Centauro Hotel is a little "hidden" gem located just off Campo Manin down a little laneway and is a very short walk to St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge plus every other attraction in Venice including all the nice shopping for the ladies! The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and we happy to do... More

The hotel is old, the room was adequate, and floors aren't level, but it's Venice, after all! The hotel was quite adequate and most of the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, including Olga the dog! The breakfast room was bright and airy and the food was nice. The best part was that our room overlooked the canal and... More
