Small rooms, but very clean. Nice staff. But the hot water was definitely lacking--I had the best luck at night getting a warmish shower. Still would recommend it. more

My main complaint about this hotel was that there was no hot water. Major turn off. I don't care how clean it was or how nice the people at the front desk were, just plain and simple, there was NO hot water. The room was clean, but small. The breakfast was average as was the staff. They pretty much ignored... more

The hotel is beautiful, so we were shocked when the desk clerk told us that our room would be a five-minute walk away from the hotel. Perhaps to soften the shock, the desk clerk said he had booked us a "suite"--a kind exaggeration, though we did get more than the room we had booked. It's Venice, where street signs are... more

The bathroom was so small. To get to the toilet or shower, you have to snake your way around the sink, then around the bidet, then side step to the toilet. To sit on the toilet you must put your feet in the shower. I couldn't believe we paid $345 a night for this room. Boy, did we get ripped... more

The Hotel was very good but some niggles let it down. The roof terrace was locked and not accessible and one of the waitresses at breakfast was a little unfriendly, whilst the rest of the staff were very helpful. At the time of our stay the path outside the Hotel was being re-laid by the authorities and the path had... more

I stayed at the Hotel Pantalon on September 28th. When my friend and I checked in we were told the rate was 140 euro, which quickly dropped down to 100, and we finally got down to 80. We asked if it was two twin beds and if it was 24 hours. The lady said yes. When we came back later,... more

I read the review dated 19th May and was worried I had made a dreadful mistakes, especially as I am a very light sleeper. We had a very pleasant stay and I would have no hesitation in booking it again. My teenage daughter and I shared a twin bedroom whose window overlooked the street. The room was small but quite... more

Although it was easy to get to from the San Toma vaporetto station (only one bridge to cross with luggage), this hotel was on a narrow street under reconstruction, with a temporary board walk. Heavy traffic by students and others at all hours, so it sounded like horses galloping by while we tried to sleep. Hotel staff was indifferent, uncommunicative... more

My daughter (21) & I stayed at the Pantalon in October 2008, It was very close to the San Toma Vaporetto & when you eventually got your bearings, which is not easy in Venice, it is a very well positioned for sightseeing. The hotel was ok for the price - prepare yourself as Venice is a very expensive city & for... more

If you're going to Italy, remember that everything in Venice is much more expensive than in the other cities. So the same class hotel in Venice might run you close to double what you'd pay in other cities. This was certainly the case with the Pantalon, which while very nice, felt hard to justify the 190 EURO/night cost. The Pantalon... more
