Central location is excellent. Cleanliness is excellent. Rooms cramped. Beds very hard, pillows harder still. Breakfast room too small, not enough tables for guests. Wi-Fi very poor. No coffee or tea facilities in rooms. Picture on website lead one to believe room service is available with cups etc. on beds. Once breakfast is over you cannot get a tea or... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in September. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet which allowed for a peaceful sleep. Continental breakfast every day which was fine and all we needed. The room safe is small (would not fit an iPad), but was plenty big enough to secure travel documents,... More

This was our first stay in Venice and was just a one night pre-cruise stopover. If you are wanting to see some of Venice on a short schedule, this hotel is centrally located just far enough away from the Grand Canal to be a little quieter. Just off the San Zaccaria vaporetta stop and within easy walking distance to San... More

Location, location, location! This hotel was in the absolute most perfect location imaginable! It was literally LESS than 5 minutes away from the San Zaccaria water bust stop and LESS than a 5 minute walk to San Marco Square! The hotel was clean, the staff was excellent, and the room was great! Also, breakfast was included and the price was... More

Walk straight ahead from the San Zaccaria vaporetta stop and this great little hotel is a short distance down Calle delle Rasse on the left. Really convenient to Piazza San Marco. We had a small room and bath with shower and no view, but there are larger rooms with a view. Housekeeping staff are really top notch as are the... More

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and recommend it to friends for its fabulous central location (no bridges to cross from the vaporetto/airport taxi stop on the Grand Canal). Directly next to the Danieli Hotel, which costs about 10 times as much. Family owned and run. Small and simple rooms, but very clean. Quiet. Free Wifi. Breakfast buffet... More

Location, location, location with this hotel! Just a few steps from the San Zaccharia boat station and a very short walk to San Marco square. Room was small, but it was clean and shower was good. Free wifi in the room. No English TV stations. Buffet breakfast was sub-par.

I have stayed in this hotel several times over many years. The best rates are the same day or week. Reservations made far in advance are higher. It is near the Hotel Danieli, on a side street, but close to the Grand Canal area. The rooms are small and spartan, but clean. The breakfasts are very good. There are no... More

We used the online reservation service and booked several nights at the Commercio & Pellegrino, finding it a conveniently located hotel near San Marco and easily accessible from the airport via Alilaguna to San Zaccaria. The double bedded room was larger than those in comparable hotels in Paris, for example, and adequately furnished. The hotel staff were courteous, considerate, and... More

Rooms are very small and bed not too comfortable but this is a fairly basic hotel and you pay for the convenient location to st marks. Next time we would likely stay on the other side of Rialto near ca'dora. Bar cantina and la bottega ai promessi sposi are well worth a try and are very close to ca'dora
