I've had the pleasure of staying in the La Residenza twice during the month of June, on two separate trips. The location, at the Campo Bandieri e Mori is quiet, yet only two bridges away from St. Mark's. The Church in the campo where the hotel sits is where Vivaldi was baptized. The cafe opposite is great for a beer... more

The location was very good, walking distance to St. Marc's square and the water taxi stop. It is located in a very quiet Piazza just off the main street to St. Marc's. There are many shops and restaurants right there. The hotel is very charming inside but the room we had was very small. I would definitely stay there again. more

Good location and price/value but furnishings cheap. Bed and linens fair. Located on a large square where children play - noisy after 8 AM but quiet at night. more

We booked this Hotel on the recommendation of the Frommer’s guide, but got a little nervous after reading some of the reviews. However, I must say we had a great experience here. Our room was on the first floor (room 225) and was large and clean. There were 3 of us staying in the room and we were never tripping... more

I just stayed at this hotel. It is a reasonably priced hotel with great location (10 min from san marco). Front desk is not very friendly. I stayed on the first floor and was noisy due to people going in and out. It may be better on the 2nd floor. I recommend this hotel if you are not looking for... more

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel La Residenza. We booked this hotel due to the great recommendations it was given in guide books and we weren't disappointed. Initially when we looked at the reviews on Trip Advisor we were worried however decided to give the hotel a chance. When we arrived we were asked if we would... more

Good location, interesting lobby, nice size room, clean. The only problem we had with the hotel was the issue of air conditioning. Yes, it has air conditioning, but it is controlled by the hotel staff. You have to ask for it to be turned on, and it only runs with very low fan velocity. We joked about moving the bed... more

I am a 30 year old, 5'6" women. I stayed at the hotel with 2 women friends. My boyfriend came to stay one night. The owner the next day wanted to charge me for having sex in "his home" and pay for dry cleaning of the sheets. Upon obvious refusal, I was staying in a hotel. Since when is sex... more

We reserved 4 nights - but were told we must switch rooms in mid-stay. After stating this was not acceptable, we were offered a "smaller" room (which we discovered was next to the Kitchen). After discovering the proximity to the kitchen and that the air conditioning is not turned on until "summer" we decided to leave. Upon departure we were... more

Resonably priced hotel that is walking distance to main Piazza, but on the outskirts of touristy Venice and closer to residential Venice. Close to public transportation. Hotel is housed in an old castle, which I found more creepy than romantic. Decor was kitschy, but perfectly accomodating. Our room and private bath were large. Breakfast is included, adequate, and is served... more
