Hotel bucintoro is a wonderful quaint hotel. We loved the location - away from San Marco Square and close to where the locals live. The rooms aren't very big but had everything we needed. The view was astonishing! We would open up our window and see the beautiful sights if Venice without the crowds. Special thanks to Niccolla for introducing... More

Hotell Bucintoro is a wonderful hotel with a beautiful interior and an extremely friendly service. The breakfast is wonderful and the location is perfect - a bit offside but still central with a fantastic view. Some of the rooms are a bit small, however. Strongly recommended.

Had two nights and can say that the hotel is well located away from the bustle of the centre of Venice. We had an excellent corner room (304) which had nice views to two sides and was spotless. Air-con was fairly noisy but worked ok and the staff are always extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast is continental style and... More

We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Bucintoro and loved every minute of our time there. We have previously stayed at the Luna Hotel Baglioni (too impersonal) and the Locanda Vivaldi (too noisy), whereas the Bucintoro is, for us, an all round winner. Its location is excellent. Not too far out of the centre to be 'distant'... More

Do not go for the cheaper rooms as they are no bigger than a shoe box! We ended us asking to pay extra as we could not get around the bed with our cases. We were on a 2 month trip over a number of countries so we did have 2 very large bags! Even small suitcases would have been... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and I had 3 nights of poor sleep (and I am a person who can sleep easily, anytime and anywhere). In fact, it's the worst sleep I've had in recent memory. We had one of the suites and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Our 'queen' bed was actually two twins put together,... More

We chose the Bucintoro for its location. The hotel is very close to the Arsenale vaperetto stop, as well as the line for the cruise terminal and airport, and a 10 minute stroll to St Marks Square. Its location (by the posh yatchs) on the Grand Canal, mean that it is very easy to find - no trundling around the... More

My wife and I had a very pleasant 3-night stay at the Bucintoro a couple of months ago. Originally, after hunting for reservations for a few nights prior to our cruise, we had tentative reservations for another well-rated hotel in Venice. However, after some reconsideration of the location and views, we settled upon the Bucintoro, and are very glad that... More

We searched Trip Advisor and found Hotel Bucintoro. We are a family of 3 generations traveling together. Our daughter and her husband had Family Room with connecting rooms with their sons ages 10&12 on the 4th floor. Both rooms panoramic views of waterfront and St Mark's Square. We were celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary and opted for room 501 with... More

Pros: - the view was stunning... looked over harbour and was literally like a postcard. - clean room - decor was 'nautical' - nice breakfast though a bit minimal in variety - good location - walking distance to sites and right beside Arsenale boat stop - away from the crowds and closer to the quieter quainter alleyways Cons: - A/C...
