the hotel is central and easy to find. the staff is very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome also with our children. though we had an appartment-unit with our own kitchen, we enjoyed the very good breakfast in the hotel. more

We enjoyed our stay, small room although quiet and very clean, nice breakfast and convenient location. Friendly staff but we had heard there were far better priced hotels/apartments in Venice. No lift can be a problem. more

It's a 3-star hotel with fairly old decoration, but the service is excellent! The staff were helpful and friendly, we were surprise to get this wonderful service in Italy. The room was small, but the hotel was in a great location. It's a bit difficult to find at the beginning, then we found out it's located in pretty central location~easy... more

This was our 3rd stay at Al Piave. As previously our experience was most satisfactory. We were accomodated for 5 nights in the appartment a short walk down Ruga Guiffa which offers a spacious living room with kitchenette and large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Staff are friendly and accomodating and most have VG English speaking abilities. Breakfast is much better... more

This hotel is in a great location, just minutes from the canal and in a section with great restaurants. It's very well run, with kind staff. Clean, simple, quiet at night, and affordable--what we were after. Not fancy, but a fine value considering Venice rates elsewhere. I would definitely stay there again. By the way there's a seafood restaurant two... more

Took a double room at this hotel with my wife. Room was very small, but that was to be expected. The location in Castello was good for walking to many places. We had a small patio which was fun. Bed bit hard and pillows flat , but we found that in all the hotels we stayed t in Northern Italy.... more

We were a little uncertain about staying here because all we had to go on were the reviews on Trip Advisor. But we wound up having a wonderful stay. Our room was huge and clean - in part owing to the intelligent choice of not having carpeting - a wise move in such a humid environment. Our room faced the... more

My husband, 8 year old daughter and I stayed at the Hotel al Piave for 5 nights in August. The room was wonderful. There were 2 bedrooms so that we didn't have to pretend to all go to sleep at the same time. Our daughter's room had a separate air conditioning unit and both units kept the rooms comfortably cool... more

The hotel is very well managed. The staff speaks English, is very helpful friendly and responsive. The hotel is very clean. Breakfasts are very good. The hotel is close to Piazza San Marco and water bus stops. The rooms are air conditioned and though small by American standards, very comfortable. The hotel is exactly as represented when we booked it,... more

While it was somewhat difficult finding our hotel (as many places in Venice), the online directions coupled with the Rick Steves tour guide had us finding our way to our home in Venice in no time. We took the "water bus"- vaporetto to the San Zaccaria stop.. This was the first stop on my biannual adventure trip with my Mother... more
