Stayed at San Samuele for 3 nights in July 2014 and had such a brilliant time! From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly they couldn't do enough for us, they gave us loads of recommendations for places to eat, things to see and do and showed us where everything was on the map. The location was just... More

Arriving to venice you would like to be received by a venecian staff. When we arrived. There was only one person at the reception and venecian (foreigner staff..)no one to help with the bags. And when we asked for it he said it is self service here. An there was no elevator a long BROKEN stairs. The room was so... More

The room was clean and fantastic and the staff were super helpful, giving us lots of useful tips on where to go and how to avoid the tourist traps. We even got upgraded to a bigger room, which never happens to us. The only minor issue is that sometimes noises in the hall can be quite loud in the room... More

One more example how TA helped me in finding a gem. We booked through them and got a 'concessional non-refundable' rate for 3 nights. Location is confusing if you don't refer their direction in their website- which is pretty much clear with the map. Sujan was very helpful, prompt over email and also with a solid description with map on... More

A charming and quaint older character hotel in the heart of Venice. Be warned though, no air conditioning and it can get hot there in summer. And no elevator and the stairs are steep. Despite that it's a charming place. The staff are very helpful especially Judith and all speak fluent English. It's a one hour ride by vaporetto (water... More

Good location in center of Venice, a few meters from St Samuele vaporetto stop. Rather small, good for a couple or family with 1 kid. Not enough furniture: could use another wardrobe or some drawers. Bathroom could be cleaner (especially the shower) and warm water was scarce - not really enough for one person's shower (do not expect to use... More

We arrived really uncertain what to expect from this hotel (given its one star rating, but excellent TA rating/reviews)... And we're completely blown away. Can't begin to say how lovely, helpful and friendly all the staff were- they honestly cared about our stay and ensuring we knew where we were going and having a pleasant time in Venice. The facilities... More

We arrived to Hotel San Samuele very early in the morning and the staff went out of their way for us to be as accommodating as possible. They tidied our room promptly so that we could check-in early which was greatly appreciated after a bumpy and exhausting night train. The staff member showed us a map of Venice and spent... More

My son and I had 3 nights in Venice and were really pleased with this establishment. It has a great location - just yards from the San Samuel vaporetto stop and within an easy stroll of so much of what Venice has to offer. It is surrounded by lovely little independent shops and galleries and a stone's throw from bars... More
