We stay there in Carnival 2016 start for three nights. The stuff was very kind and helpful. Hotel is very close to Rialto bridge and you can go in the main hotspots in 10-20 minutes walk. Easy to aproach when you came from airport. Room was clean but one thing we didn't like at all. Three nights stay there and... More

Great place to stay, with wonderful view of Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. Centrally located with shopping, restaurants and boat transport nearby. Spacious clean rooms. Must know that there are 70 steps to climb to get to reception and rooms (no elevator). Great for those in good shape who enjoy the exercise.

The location is beautiful. You can have breakfast (also gluten free) watching Canal Grande in a very friendly atmosphere. The room was clean and warm in tradizional style but with all comforts. Waiters are kind and polite.

This hotel was in a suburb location, so central on the Grand Canal, infact our room looked directly at it. If you don't mind stairs, this is a great place to stay. You walk outside and there is restaurants, shopping everywhere. It was quiet and the breakfast was typical continental style. WiFi was fast and the staff very helpful. I... More

We stayed for 5 nights at the beginning of December 2015. Like other reviewers, I will start with perhaps the best point: Location! To stay in a hotel just a few metres from the Rialto Bridge - with the breakfast room (and some bedrooms) overlooking the Grand Canal - for this price is a privilege and a bargain. Our bedroom... We stayed here for a long weekend and it was simply perfect! In truth we were not in the hotel long as we were exploring but its location is perfectly situated with amazing views and close to the famous sights. Would highly recommend for romance!!

The best attribute of this hotel is its location right next to the Rialto and thus close to quite a lot of sights (halfway between the Ghetto and San Marco. The room was pretty but as I've noticed pretty standard across most hotels in Venice. I really hate asking people to carry my suitcase but I think one must have... More

Dear Riain; Thank you for your feedback and we are habby that our position liked you... Yes, the Stair is not very simple to climb but when you arrive on the top, the view that you can admire from here is awesome. Always, our bellman is available to carry the guests' luggages up the stair. The two Junior Suite with... More

Let me start with the positives. The location is perfect. We had room #1 and I could have sat in the window all day just people-watching from above. The sunrise from the room is beautiful. The room was very clean and spacious. While the views from the room are amazing, the decor in room #1 is very dated. This didn't... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
