We stayed here for one night while visiting Venice and we have no complaints. Our room was just the right size and everything was clean. We had a little balcony that looked out onto some small Italian roads. In the morning they served breakfast in the adorable and charming dining room which overlooked the Grand Canal. This was such a... More

This hotel is an amazing find, its location is perfect just near the Rialto but in a quiet street. The breakfast had a good choice, the rooms with the canal views are amazing light airy and large and the staff are kind and helpful.

The Antica Locanda Sturion is a typical Venetian hotel, very central, near to Rialto bridge and vaporetto station. Our room was big, clean and comfortable. The only defect was the stairs up to reception and rooms mentioned by other reviewers, the best was the dining room with a gorgeous view of canal grande.

I had a wonderful time at the Antica locanda Sturion. For the price I paid I received an excellent value. Location close to the Rialto Bridge is central and convenient with vapporeto. A water shuttle to the airport is just across the bridge. Walking distance to San Marco square is less than 10 minutes.. Stuff is extremely helpful and friendly;... More

Hotel staff, rooms (Venetian decor got you into the right frame of mind), location, all fantastic, 72 steps up to reception post a pizza.....reduces the guilt factor, but be aware NO LIFTS!! Breakfast choice basic but abundant, view from the dining area over the grand canal certainly makes up for lack of egg choices (just boiled) would I recommend this... More

Dear Jozicomd; Thank you for your review. We are happy that you appreciate our location. Unfortunately we don't have elevator because there's no space and the palace where we are located is very ancient... Looking forward to welcome you on a future visit to Venice. More

All in all our stay at the Locanda Sturion was ok, but not the best. The negatives: We stayed in a quad room, which did offer sleeping space for us and our children, and was ok space wise, but certainly not spacious. The beds were abysmal- the mattresses were a little rundown and very firm (my son complained that his... More

This is the place to stay in Venice. Take the public transport from the garage or train, I think called Vaporetta. It's a boat that goes down the Grand Canal right to the hotel because they stop at the Rialto Bridge. This hotel is opposite. Great location for gondolas, water taxis or walking around Venice. Couldn't be better position. Great... More

Charming, great location. Had to carry luggage up 70 steps because porter had gone home by time we arrived. Great location! Be aware rooms 1-4 off lobby and dining room, so if you like to sleep in better stay down the hall
