My husband and i stayed at the Villa Edera for 5 nights and thought the price for a double room, 260 euro for the 5 nights was good, we had read reviews before going and people were saying to ask for the private room on the top floor with the huge balcony i did request this room and the hotel... more

This hotel was recommended by a friend as possibly the best on the Lido, therefore I was maybe expecting too much (or maybe the other hotels are really a lot worse). Anyway, it has no parking so if you arrive by carry with the ferry from the Tronchetto, you can easily find some free parking in one of the little... more

Having stayed here here before a few years ago we knew about the hotels excellent location on the Lido, very close to the beach & Vaporetto stop it makes an ideal base. On checking in we were aske to pay for the full cost of our stay up front which was a bit strange, they must have thought we looked... more

This is a nice enough place with great access to Venice. The water bus is 5 mins walk away and the beach about 10 mins. We stayed for 4 nights, the first night we were given room 38 which is a really tiny room with a really tiny double bed and not really any room to move around, we asked... more

Date: 30/1/2008 We stay at this Hotel 5 days. We like it a lot, Lido is a very good place to stay, specially in Carnival period because there is better prices. Our stay was pleasant and comfortable, the rooms where very clean and every day there was a girl who cleaned very well! The stuff was very helpful and polite.... more

Lido is a quiter island compared to San Marco (15-20 mins by water boat from San Marco) and the food is much cheaper ie average 6Euros for a plate of pasta/pizza compared to 10Euros at San Marco. Transportation to the island is not a problem as the boat trips are regular even late in the night (72 hrs ticket for... more

We stayed four days and enjoyed every minute. Hotel friendly and spotlessly clean. Bedrooms are small but have everything you need. It was so nice to come 'home' to the peace of the Lido after busy days in Venice and on the boats! No building noise while we were there. The reception staff booked us concert seats instantly and with... more

Pros: 1. Location - loved staying on the Lido away from tourist-frenzy of the main Venice islands, easy walk to vaporetto stop, close to shops but on a quiet street, inexpensive gelato (€1 single scoop) close by. 2. Breakfast - lovely buffet with friendly breakfast staff. Ham served on weekends. 3. Pleasant room. 4. The weekend front desk guy is... more

We spent 3 nights at Villa Edera in Sept/07. What a great location. We loved the close proximity to the shops, restaurants, beach, and vaporetto, while still being located on a quiet street. The rooms were small but they were comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was good although the breakfast room was small and wasn't large enough for the... more

Great location as stated in previous reviews and quite good value compared to the rest of Venice. Rooms are just about alright. We had a triple that was more like a double. I can't believe that previous reviewers describe the reception staff as friendly. They did the absolute minimum and were always very surly!!! So no tip for those girls.... more
