We booked last minute through Expedia at a cost of £80 a night which we thought reasonable for a 'four star' hotel. We needed somewhere we could park our car for free and travel into Venice. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and I had high hopes. The double room we were given was right next to the lifts... more

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Please stay away from this hotel. Especially if you are from USA it is very hard to travel to and from this hotel. I stayed with my family of four here recently for 3 nights. It is in the middle of no where, if you don't have a car, you have to... more

We stayed here during a tour run by Kumuka. The hotel itself was quite fancy looking and the rooms were nice, but the bathrooms could do with a re-vamp. We were given a double room, which unfortunately stunk of smoke. We requested another room, and moved into a twin room. The single beds were the size of a queen bed,... more

This hotel was part of a group travel package to Italy. It was okay, kind of old with dark red colors, which made the rooms look dim. The walls were very thin and we could hear people in the next room. The staff was fairly friendly and the breakfast and dinner was mediocre. What's with the fruit for desert? I... more

We were really afraid after reading the comments for this hotel in TripAdvisor. The opinions weren't very good, and because the hotel was booked by the travel agency, we had no references. My first contact with the hotel was an e-mail requesting information how to reach the hotel from Marco Polo Airport using the bus. The hotel answered in 10... more

I start by saying that i don't recomend this hotel to anyone. Everything with this hotel was a lie. All began by trying to have some information about the hotel with a direct contact with it. As you can see on their website (http://www.russotthotels.com/index_e.html), they have a beautiful image on the venice island. When i wrote an email to them,... more

The Russott was a decent place to stay. The rooms on the sunny side of the hotel got a little hot during the day (apparently the AC was shut off by law the day before we arrived). The bathtub/shower will be difficult for older people or people with mobility issues to negotiate, since they're raised off the floor quite a... more

This hotel is quite old. The TV in my room was so old that I couldn't believe that it still existed, we're talking TV from the 80s. The carpet is old and heavy renovation is clearly needed for this hotel. Luckily I only stayed there for a night and although hotel prices near Venezia is relatively expensive but hey better... more

Hmmm. Where to start? 1) This hotel is effectively surrounded by a moate. On two sides there is a ditch which cannot be crossed (well not without waders anyway). On a third side is a fully-fledged river. At the rear there is a high fence and beyond that, the mestre dog pound where the blighters seem to be allowed roam... more

We stayed in this hotel for one night with the intention of seeing venice whilst holidaying around Italy. We were impressed with the luxury and glamour of the reception foyer and the bar - but beyond that we were certainly not impressed. Having stayed at the "Accademia Palace Hotel" in Pisa an equivalent 4 star, we expected far better -... more
