Breakfast in the peaceful, enclosed centre courtyard was the perfect way for our family of three to begin each of our days in Venice. The fourth chair at our table was occupied by Tommy, the resident feline. The hotel is just far enough off the main routes that it felt quiet and secluded. Even so, it was still an easy... More

Our family stayed here following a cruise and I'm so glad we found this hidden gem! It was reasonable price (for Venice), the location is just out of the way enough that it's quiet and the area shops / eateries are less touristy. Yet we were a reasonable walk away from Rialto and San Marco when needed. The hotel itself... More

This was our second visit to Venice, and we wanted a hotel that was a bit out of the way. This was a great place for our 5 nights, comfortable in every way. The hotel staff were very helpful, and the resident cat, Tommy, was so friendly and loved being around people. We booked a triple room, which had a... More

Just want to say thank you to all the staff at the hotel for making our holiday special. Our room was fantastic, overlooking the courtyard (room 109) was big, clean and very cool thanks to the air con. Breakfast was a delight sitting in the courtyard every morning and plenty to eat, nothing was too much trouble and whatever we... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Locanda La Corte. The location was perfect - still close to all the main attractions but away from the big crowds. Staff was very helpful and gave some great recommendations for food. We had a canal view and did not experience any problems with the noise. The morning breakfast was nice in the... More

We stayed here 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Room 106. (but not first floor) Up 2 flights of stairs in the middle corner. Other reviews have detailed the accommodations well, which I agree with. Nice sufficient breakfast: plenty of (free) coffee, milk, juice, water (drink up!), yogurt and cereals, meats and cheese, yummy fruit-filled croissants, etc. The breakfast courtyard... More

Locanda La Corte is in a great location, walking distance to everything you want to see in Venice, but set back some, so you don't feel like you are in the middle of all the tourists! We stayed for 2 nights and had the quad room, for my husband, two children, and myself. Our room was very large, had an... More

This hotel is a 15 minute walk to St. Mark's or the Rialto, and is far enough away from them that it is much quieter and without big hoards of tourists everywhere. We got to the hotel through the vaporetti, and got off at the Rialto stop. I recommend using the Fondamente Nove stop--it's a lot easier to navigate from... More

The location was great; just a water taxi ride from the train station and walking distance to St. Marks Square, the Rialto Bridge and the best Venice sites. The rooms, breakfasts and breakfast patio are wonderful (and house cat, Tommy), as are the professional and very helpful staff (terrific suggestions for restaurants and help with water taxis).

Excellent map on the website giving great directions from two water bus stops each about 10 minutes away. Best map we found of Venice. Did not leave the hotel without it! Easy to get lost in Venice but that's part of the fun. Friendly helpful staff. Nice big room overlooking courtyard with good shutters and curtains. Slept well as it... More
