The hotel is in a great location next to the 'Rialto Bridge', and near enough in the centre of Venice. Majority of attractions were just a 20 min walk if you didn't get lost. Fish market 5 mins away. Plenty of restaurants right outside the hotel. Hotel rooms were quite small and basic, but if you're only using it as... More

The great location next to the Rialto Bridge certainly has its advantages. Its always fairly simple to find the hotel after a long day of getting lost in Venice. The hotel itself was what you would expect from a 3 star hotel. The breakfast was average, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The big plus of... More

I took my Mum here for her birthday and we loved it! The hotel is right on the canal by the Roalto Bridge. Best way to get there from Piazzale Roma is to get the waterbus that stops at Rialto Mercato, it's then straight up the road from the stop and on the left just by the Chinese restaurant. We... More

I stayed her with my partner, in October 2014, to celebrate her birthday. The hotel was in a great position, just beside the Railto bridge. The fron of the hotel overlooks the Grand Canal, so there is a great view from the breakfast room, over the busy canal below. Our room was a nice size with an ensuite bathroom. The... More

Stayed here on a three night romantic break with the hubbie. Upgrade definitely worth it. We have a lovely big room overlooking the Grand Canal. Great view this is the way to do it! Open the window and hear the gondolas and see the Rialto Bridge. Hmmmm...and relax😁

We went on this break as a gift from our daughter. The hotel is right by the Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal. The entrance is on a side street with the facade on the canal. We arrived at 13.30 and check in was not until 14.30 , we were allowed to leave our luggage and explore our surroundings. When... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Location is perfect - along the famous grand canal, 2 minutes walk from Rialto bridge. We had the economy room, small but right for us, we managed. But the shower stall is so small even for us petite people. Breakfast is good at first but not so much if having same food everyday, I like... More

Stayed here for 4 nights just before Easter weekend. Had an early flight from UK so arrived in Venice before midday. There are lots of options for transport from the airport eg bus, train, speedboat, water taxi and water bus. We opted for the water bus (orange line) that cost 27 euros each return. Speedboats were approx. 110 euros each... More

Stayed here for 4 nights and was quite satisfied with the service and price. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good enough and the view was spectacular! (We booked the room with the view to the grand canal on the second level) Waking up to see the grand canal in front of you is priceless. Only downside... More

Booked an economy room for our first visit to Venice. Small by US standards but met our purpose perfectly! They serve a delicious breakfast with great balcony views of the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge!! You walk 1 minute and you are strolling along the Grand Canal and shopping on the Rialto Bridge! Staff is friendly, courteous, kind hearted and... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
