We had a standard double room on the 2nd floor, very nicely designed 16th century style, the bath room is new and modern, there are basic amenities, the room is very clean and towels are changed every day. The breakfast offers a large variety (cheese, ham, eggs, fruit, cheerios, etc.) The hotel offers free WIFI that works excellent! The service... More

Torino located in just 5 min walk distance from the square of St. Marco, just in the «heart of Venice». Hotel is far away from luxury level, but small, nice, very quiet with very friendly staff. Rooms and corridor are made with 1940 style, but in my opinion it gives some charm / romantic ambience. Just imagine, at summer will... More

The hotel is situated on the street where famous branded goods are at. It is right in the middle of Venice where access to St. Marco is within 5 minutes... The room we stayed was a bit small but good enough for 1 night. Breakfast was sufficient for tourists like us. Staff was courteous and mostly can speak fair English.

Nice little hotel in the middle of everything - 5 minute walk to the Marcus church. Very small room with bathroom. Free breakfast delivered to your room. The room needs a loving hand but it's okay as its in the middle of everything and we just needed somewhere to sleep.

Having read some recent reviews about the annex at Hotel Torino, we were worried about our experience. However, when we arrived at the hotel late at night we were informed that due to (I can only guess) these reviews we were kindly lead to another hotel around the corner. We had a wonderful room there, facing a breathtaking church and... More

This place needs closing down! I've been all over the world and never seen anything as bad as this hotel! We all read these reviews and, let's be honest, still make our own decision regardless what the review says, especially when we are on a budget. But on this occasion please think very strongly and carefully before booking here! Please... More

Dear guest we regret that we have had this terrible impression of our Hotel I think if he had raised its problems at the reception we could find a solution although usually these rooms do not have to portarto so serious complaints I recognize that as the input is not friendly but we plan in the coming days to restore... Location is absolutely perfect. Rooms are gorgeous and clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and the best we had in any of our italian hotels. Also the front desk will hold your luggage at no extra charge which is great! And staff is available 24/7. Would stay here again and highly recommend!

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
