Stayed for 3 nights in a superior room (we were upgraded free on arrival) in April. The hotel had a great location (about 5 mins walk from Rialto bridge), the room was very comfortable and spacious and although it was located on quite a busy street it was reasonably quiet. Breakfast was OK, I was a bit disappointed that coffee... More

We stayed at the Hotel Antico Doge for 2 nights at the beginning of April. I had high expectations and maybe they were too high. The location was fabulous. Smack in the middle of the grand canal and it was relatively easy to find. A bit of a walk with luggage from the Vaporetto but totally doable. We are a... More

The hotel is nicely located and not too far from the water-bus, Rialto Bridge and San Marco. Coming from London, we didn't mind the noise too much and to be fair, it wasn't that loud. We stayed in Room 105, so any rooms on that side, there's a corner bar directly below the windows and they stay open pretty late,... More

The hotel is centrally located. Staff are friendly and helpful when recommending restaurants and finding how to get around. The rooms were immaculately presented and breakfast was amazing. A little pricey for the star rating but that's just venice. Would definitely recommend!

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the character of the decor. It is very atmospheric with period style furniture and damask lined walls. The breakfast room was beautiful and a good choice provided. The whole hotel was lovely and clean and staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 110 classed as a superior double... More

We stayed in room 216, which has a view of the canal and the Campo d. SS. Apostoli across the canal and were charmed. The hotel is near the Rialto Bridge, but not so near as to be inundated by crowds. The church bells were enchanting. We had dinner at the nearby Vecia Cavana, which was recommended by the Antico... This is a stunning hotel with beautifully decorated rooms and an absolutely gorgeous breakfast room. My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights last week and had a fantastic time. Our bedroom was very spacious and decorated in a period style with a chaise longue and enormous bed and had two large windows which overlooked the canal and a... More

Our room no 111 was beautifully decorated in a lovely venetian style with damask fabric lined... More

The place is really good value for Venice. Décor was fresh and smart, location is excellent for sightseeing and for getting there from the airport. Room was large and comfortable (had a two level room, with sitting area downstairs and bed upstairs!) and breakfast was not too exciting but just right. Would definitely go back.

This hotel is really lovely. Great rooms, very clean, helpful staff nice location. So why only 3 stars? As a previous review said it is more very up market B&B. We were there mid March and it was 20 degrees with no aircon. So had windows and shutters open but had to listen to the church bells at 7 thru... More
