My family, including grandparents, parents and two children stayed at the Antico Doge for four nights. We had two clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was good, and upon request they kindly provided gluten free items. The staff was friendly and helpful with dinner and tour reservations. If you plan to arrive via the vaporetto, be sure to ask for... More

Stayed in Venice before at the Saturnia which was ok but found Antico Doge so more roomy and very well decorated. Although still has Venetian feel its very clean and modern with a great bathroom. Fab hotel and so attentive. Really loved hotel in what is our favorite city!!!

We visited Venice for a long weekend in November and stayed at the Hotel Antico Doge. We had the lovely front room on the first floor; it was reminiscent of the situation of someone staying there in the 'Grand Tour' of Europe in the 1800s....I wonder just who may have stayed there in those days? This was a very old... More

The Hotel Antico Doge was comfortable and conveniently located to transport and sights. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was a little noise from the square in front of the hotel but it didn't go excessively late. The hotel is on a very busy thoroughfare to the Rialto so there is a lot of foot traffic but again, it... More

We stayed at Antico Doge hotel in November. Our room was clean, beds confortable. Breakfast was nice, and with good selection for Italian hotel. Decorated as palazzo - beautiful. Hotel is very good located - 3 minutes to public transport (vaporetto Ca d Oro), 5 minutes to Rialto, 10 min. to San Marco, 10 min to Fundamente Nuove (Murano, Burano),... More

We stayed at the Antico Doge for two nights in mid November. We stayed in the suite overlooking the canal and it was beautiful. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. The weather was warm and sunny which allowed us to enjoy the balcony. The staff, especially Sara, was wonderful and very helpful. Sara made a recommendation for... More

Clean, comfortable rooms! no dining facilitiy but is very conveniently located in a good area. Sfaff was helpful and seems to be happy with what they are doing. Easy access from the airport, two stops boat ride from MArco Polo and only a stop away to Murano.

This was my first time staying in Venice proper (not Mestre). Hotels in Venice are very, very expensive. I chose Antico Doge based on price (still quite expensive) and fairly good reviews here and elsewhere. It is in a very nice location; the square out front is charming and the coffee bar in the square is filled with warm and... More

The room was huge and pretty well furnished (very classy). It wasn't hard to find (which is a rare feature in Venice) and at a good distance from the train station and the Saint Mark's Square. I really liked the breakfast also. Very satisfied.

Venice was the last leg of our trip. We were so pleased with the Hotel Antico Doge. Everyone spoke English and was very helpful. The room was large and looked out over the canal and piazza on the other side. We were less than 5 minutes walk to the Rialto Bridge and 10 min from San Marco Piazza. Breakfast was... More
