We stayed here in March 2014 to celebrate a special occasion. The hotel has a lovely feel about it, real old fashioned charm with plenty of Murano glass on display around each corner . The room we stayed in had lovely lagoon views which was beautiful, it was of a good size, and clean with beautiful fabrics on the walls,... More

Buongiorno! Thanks a lot for your very nice review. I'm happy you enjoyed your stay with us! Yes in March the restaurant is usually closed. We open it from April to November approximately, it depends on the weather as, even if covered, it's outside in our rooftop terrace. But the terrace is always open! If you wanna have a coffee... The hotel is located near St. Mark's square and is easily accessible by water Taxi. Dinner on the rooftop dining area was very good and reasonable in cost. The hotel was well appointed and well maintained. We had a very pleasant stay here. The breakfast was very good - no complaints

Lovely hotel, the best location almost everything perfect. The only fault I have is with the young man on Reception, his customer service skills need to be improved. On checking out he didn't check that we had 2 rooms so had to go through the process twice. Also we were moving on to Florence and I asked him for directions... More

Buongiorno! Thanks a lot for your very nice review. I'm happy if the check out has been a little "tricky". We always try to do our best to make everybody comfortable, but we all do mistakes unfortunately! Please accept my apologize. concerning the directions you need to get to your hotel in Florence, It's normal that a person who live... More

We had a two night stay at The Locanda. We loved it. Central to everything. When we arrived we were met at the water taxi, our luggage taken to our room which was a nice surprise. Our room very comfortable, bed good. Our window overlooked the canal & could see the front promonade. The bathroom very clean. The only negative... More

We recently stayed at the Vivaldi during il Redentore, and joined them on their rooftop restaurant for their Feast of the Redeemer. The dinner was beyond fabulous (also the most expensive of my life, but everyplace is pricey that night). The views of the lagoon and the fireworks were amazing. Service was great and our bed was comfortable. Hotel itself... More

Buongiorno! Thank you for your very nice review, I'm happy you enjoyed your stay with!!! Yes Redentore is a particular day, a feast for the whole city. Everything is a little bit more expensive. Our menu was more expensive than usual due to the fireworks but due also for the special menu we prepared for that night. I'm happy you... More

Stayed at the Locanda Vivaldi or the second time - just as fantastic as the first time. Lovely hotel in the best location. Rooms spacious and comfortable, excellent standard of service, great breakfast and staff always there to help. Would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Venice. The hotel is located just a couple bridges from St. Marks making it an ideal spot to sightsee. They serve a lovely and filling full morning breakfast and the rooftop has a great view. The desk service is a bit indifferent. Guests with questions seem to be a nuisance to the desk staff- mostly the managerial staff. The porters and... More

Be sure to book through hotel site (they include private water taxi transfer from train station - a huge savings). Visit the top floor patio/restaurant, it's covered and spectacular! walking distance to everywhere.

The room we had at this hotel was one of my favorites in Europe. We had a spectacular view of the canals and a balcony that was very nice. The service was good, but the staff at the front desk seemed a little stuck up and too uptight about everything. The restaurant on the rooftop is excellent, I would definitely... More

This is a well located and very comfortable hotel, well worth staying in particularly if you manage to get a room with a view. It is also a more affordable option then some of the other hotels in the area so a good choice if you want to be close to st marks square but not pay for 5 stars.... More
