This hotel was recommended by a Venetian friend of a friend. It's about a 5 minute walk from St. Marks Square, easy to find. I printed to map from the website and found it. Very nice staff. My room was small, but all that I needed. Very clean, with bathroom amenities included. I could not find CNN on the tv,... More

The location to explore Venice is second to none. Nestled between the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square is only part of the story. I know Venice quite well and trust me, it's a fantastic place to be for the very best in shopping, restaurants is one aspect but add that it's convenient for hopping off the Vaporette, (and back... We were very happy to stay at the Gorizia. It was already the 3th time we stayed there. If we are going back to Venicdr it will surely be in the same hotel. the reception advised us to go to a certain restaurant of which we were very pleased We went there 5 times in 6 days.Marvellous.

Stayed here for 3 night in september 2014 in rooms mystique 666. Close to everything. the place is clean and the people at the front desk are very nice. The use of the balcony is nice after long days of visit. However, the bed and the pillows are very hard and unconfortable. You wake up in the morning with pain.... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in November 2012. Needed somewhere central as I was recovering after a hip operation. Perfect location for us. Numerous restaurants to choose from. Close to St.Marks Square etc and the hotel was authentic Venetian decor. Clean and comfortable and the man on the reception was helpful in recommending suitable restaurants. I would use this hotel... I was a bit apprehensive about staying here as some of the reviews were a bit dodgy but I was very pleasantly surprised. 6 of us stayed in 3 three rooms (41, 42 and 44) and all 3 were extremely clean. Yes, the walls are all covered in fancy material but even that was sparkling clean and it didn't feel... More

This hotel is situated in an ideal position midway between Rialto bridge and Piazza San Marco. From the airport take the ferry to Venice. Book a return ticket by internet, it's cheaper! Get off the boat at the Rialto Bridge stop, a journey of about 45 min. Take the very narrow street right in front of you - Calle Bembo... More

The Gorizia has a fabulous location--quick walking distance to Rialto and St. Marks. It is packed in by 2 really good Italian restaurants on each side and shopping is nearby. The rooms are...well...funky to say the least. Clean but really quite outdated. We had our own bathroom but the shower was unlike any we've ever encountered with a folding door... More

I stayed here with my mother for three nights, and we were assigned a triple room in the attic. It was very spacious for two people, and although the decor was pretty dated the room itself was spotless. My only complaint would be the shower cubicle - I'm a small person but even I had trouble fitting myself into it... More

I stayed here with 2 children and it was a lovely experience. Our first room had a lovely glass chandelier, beautiful wallpaper, and two beds. The bathroom was very clean. When we extended our stay, we moved upstairs to a triple with three beds. It was an attic room looking over the rooftops--not fancy, but very comfortable and suited our... More
