Perfect location- 2-3 minutes walk to St Marks Square and 5 minutes walk to Rialto Bridge very helpful staff, rooms are clean, tidy and well presented. Breakfast is continental but has different variety of breads, cheese etc.

Great location in the heart of the old city - you have to love the wall paper and the whole look is really something special - definitely one to recommend. Couldn't ask anymore from the host - even came to find us when we got lost!!

This is a great little hotel for exploring Venice. It is close to the St Marks Square and all the activity. While the rooms are small as is common in older hotels near St. Marks Square it is very nicely decorated and does have a table and chairs. A great breakfast is delivered to your room each morning. The best... More

Couldn't have asked for anything more. Lovely room, comfy bed, good bathroom. It's quite small - but it's Venice! Aircon worked really well and necessary in August. Breakfast was AMAZING! Just ring reception when you want it and it will be with you in 10 mins. Absolutely fantastic place to stay and I really think great value for money considering... More

We stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon in Venice & I'm so glad we booked the Residenza La Loggia. It was very reasonably priced for the location and the service was fab! Matteo contacted me before we came to Venice to enquire about our arrival time and also gave us directions from the vaporetto to the B&B. He... More

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights. The location of the hotel is really central ( less than 5 min to San Marco square and Rialto bridge). The rooms are well decorated and the staff are very very friendly. They upgrade us for free to a bigger room as we have a child and the first room was quite small.... More

Wonderful overnight stay in Venice in a love wee B&B. Prior to arrival we received a lovely email looking forward to our arrival and requesting estimated arrival. This was lovely. Early check in, room ready for us, freshly cleaned. All the basics were available and a lovely breakfast was served in the morning. Great place to stay when working to... More

Great place for a romantic getaway. Friendly staff offered good advice on restaurant off the beaten track. Would go again. Rooms don't have much of a view, but who needs that in a town that demands you get out there! Walking distance from public transportation to AirPort and railway

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
