We stayed at this hotel 3 nights. The location of the hotel is really central ( less than 5 min to San Marco square and Rialto bridge). The rooms are well decorated and the staff are very very friendly. They upgrade us for free to a bigger room as we have a child and the first room was quite small.... More

Wonderful overnight stay in Venice in a love wee B&B. Prior to arrival we received a lovely email looking forward to our arrival and requesting estimated arrival. This was lovely. Early check in, room ready for us, freshly cleaned. All the basics were available and a lovely breakfast was served in the morning. Great place to stay when working to... More

Great place for a romantic getaway. Friendly staff offered good advice on restaurant off the beaten track. Would go again. Rooms don't have much of a view, but who needs that in a town that demands you get out there! Walking distance from public transportation to AirPort and railway

A quaint little B & B right in the heart of things , super nice hosts , very helpful. Matteo helped me before arriving and will even meet you at the dock where the boat taxi lets you off. I would definitely stay there again

As a small boutique B&B just a few minutes from San Marco, this is a truly authentic experience. Hard to find initially we found the residenza using a combination of a paper and google map. Well worth the journey, we were welcomed by the owner Marco, who showed us to our room which was clean, of a decent size, with... More

As others have said its tricky to find. Once we arrived, the welcome right through to check out was first class. We checked in early which we were thankful for and the room was ready. The room itself was beautiful. Lovely decor and very comfy with good aircon. The hosts provided prosecco on ice with fruits which was a lovely... More

We did have a bit of difficulty finding the hotel but on arrival were very pleased with the accommodations and we really enjoyed our stay at the Residenza La Loggia. The room was large and clean and the beds were comfortable. Matteo, who worked the desk and managed the hotel, spoke English very well which we appreciated since we don't... More

We have just returned from celebrating our wedding anniversary and couldn't have wished for a better hotel. Nothing was to much trouble, even having a supply of boots for when St Marks square floods. We had champagne, strawberries and a beautiful rose in our room when we arrived back after a day in Venice on our anniversary which was a... More

Friendly welcome, coupled with exemplary traditional Venetian decor, this is my fav place in Venice. So near San Marco so you really feel part of the city culture. Fresh breakfast delivered to our room after a great sleep on extremely comfortable beds. Highly recommended - it's hard to believe this is a bed and breakfast - such luxury!

If you are going to Venice, stay at Residenza La Loggia! The location is great, in the heart of Venice, the room is beautiful, bathroom is great and breakfast, served at the room, is delicious. But the best is the owner that makes sure you're very welcome and helps you in whatever you need. Won't stay in another place!

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
