We had a wonderful stay at the Gritti Palace for my birthday. Booked through the BA website which gave us a great deal (including breakfast). Service was excellent and even included a complimentary birthday cake. We chose to eat our dinners out and the concierge recommended and booked a lovely restaurant which had a great atmosphere and wasn't too pricey.... More

We had stayed at this world class hotel 15 years before. We wanted to revisit and found it close to the Violino d'Oro where we were staying. It is as beautiful, and elegant as ever. The $12 cappuccino was worth it because the view of the Grand Canal is breathtaking.

We were in Venice for a few days prior to joining a Cruise to celebrate my Wife's 40th Birthday, I had heard many great comments about the Gritti Palace and had some family members stay there many years ago, so I did some research. After reading about the extensive renovations that had been done on he hotel and the customer... More

Everything about our stay at the hotel was lovely- breakfast on the terrace is an incredible experience and the rooms are very tasteful and the location is very central for San Marco island. The only downfall to our stay was a very rude guest service personal saying our check out was at 10am. I have stayed at luxury hotels around... More

The Gritti Palace is superb. Service is generally great (though the concierge was occasionally a bit gruff, and unhelpful), location perfect - just far enough away from St. Mark's to reduce the crowds, and rooms utterly sumptuous. We had drinks at the outdoor lounge each evening, which was very special as it overlooks the Grand Canal but never ate in... More

We spent three wonderful nights in August and had a most enjoyable and romantic experience in this classy hotel which is situated in one of Venice's best locations. Our room was immaculately clean and the decor exquisite. The breakfast selection was somewhat repetitive and the evening meal disappointing especially as it cost over £200. When we made the dinner reservation... More

The Gritti Palace is truly outstanding; great location, friendly & professional staff, beautiful room, great food and wonderful view of grand canal. We stayed at two hotels in Venice, the Gritti and Centurion Palace right in front of it (across the canal). What a different experience. The Gritti is a true five star hotel, simply the best. We will definitely... More

This is just an amazing hotel that also takes great care of SPG Platinum and Gold members. The hotel, the service, location is just superb. The only thing that I could possibly point out is that breakfast can have little more choices but not a big deal as it is. You simply can't beat breakfast on the terrazza over Grand... More

I spent three nights here in February, a perfect time to visit Venice. The Gritti Palace completed the magic that is Venice. One of my favorite memories is having lunch outside on the Grand Canal. The delicious risotto and a bottle of wine while watching the traffic on the canal was delightful. The service is impeccable, from check-in to departure.... More
