Amadeus is a 3-5 minute walk from the railway station. The rooms are average sized. None of the rooms face the water body all around venice. The interiors are nice, and the breakfast is standard - scrambelled eggs and ham everyday. Vegetarians like me had to survive on bread .We were there for 2 days. The hotel is about a... more

Great location with friendly staff. Nice breakfast. However, room was hot and airconditioning just added more heat. With window open, it meant open season for the mosquitos and lots of noise. more

Having read a few "extreme" reviews I want to add some balance to these comments. The hotel is probably upper 3 star by uk standards. The room we had was smallish but nicely decorated and the air con meant we were comfortable at all times. The bathroom was small, but acceptable. The location was great. Just 500 yards from the... more

Mt friend managed to get this hotel really cheap as part of a superbreak deal so it did not cost us a great deal of money which is just as well really...... We had a really small and very hot room right at the very top of the hotel..... the view from our window was the hotel roof!! The walls... more

We arrived at our room and it was clear from the outset that the walls were paper thin, we moved to another room everything was quiet until 05.45 the following morning when our sleep was disturbed by a gushing sound caused by the operation of taps & showers this was the case for the remainder of our stay. The breakfast... more

Disappointing. As dull and none worthy as you might wonder, just having a look at the hotel picture appearing on its website. Ugly. Streets around are as plain and un-welcoming as the hotel itself. You don’t have the feeling of being in Venice once you left the Great Channel behind your back, heading for this place. Big contrast with the... more

My wife and I stayed here for a night on 6/8/08. We found this hotel to be clean and the staff were very helpful & courteous. The breakfast that was served was excellent! Overall it was a fantastic stay! We would stay here again. more

We stayed at the Amadeus 2 nights in May as part of Gate 1 tour, but were supposed to stay in Principe 50 yards away. Amadeus is a poor alternative - owned by the same group as Principe, the owners rate it as 4 star. We then stayed 3 nights in the Principe on our own - there is no... more

Traveled to Venice in April 2008. This hotel is about 5 min from the train station and main boat docks, making it easy to get to and travel from. Well maintained, it appears to have been recently (< 3 years) renovated. Staff was great. Rooms, especially the bathrooms, are a little small, but well appointed and spotless. Breakfasts are provided... more

This hotel is an official italian four star but it clearly deserves only three. For example, two of the four lightbulbs in the bathroom didn't work at our arrival. We asked the desk they change them. We had to ask a second time 24 hours later. Finally, 2 days later they fixed... one lightbulb. Then we got a room that... more
