I stayed here in June 2015. Some good points of this hotel are : it is situated very close to main railway station st. Lucia.. Ferrovia water bus station is also near.. And is situated on a busy street where u ll find a lot of options to eat.. However the hotel stay per se except its location was not... More

We were holidaying in Tuscany and our son desperately wanted to visit Venice. An overnight trip was decided best so we booked a day before and Amadeus had good rates on the two rooms we required. Clean tidy rooms, on 4th floor and ready on arrival just after 1pm. Views were beautiful and bathrooms large and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful... More

First when you arrivive in venice weather from a bus or a train the hotel is in a great location. You wont have to drag your bags to far You will be walking enough. The breakfast in the court yard is very delicious and great food. Staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean and we slept well. Very... More

Great location, 5min walk from Santa Lucia station. We managed to visit Venice by foot but you can also easily take a vaporetto to the main attractions. The room was a bit noisy as it is located in a busy street. But overall a really nice hotel, nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was good as well. Will stay there again... More

Booked as part of a package. The hotel is close to the bus and train station in a busy street. We arrived after getting off a cruise at about 9.30 am. The hotel were happy to lock our luggage away until our room was ready and even asked how we wanted it set up. The staff were helpful and stored... More

Location is good as it's very easy to find for a Venice hotel and is within walking distance from the bus station (if you are fit enough to carry your bags over the bridge), the train station and Guglie water bus station. Hotel is clean, but very tired. We stayed here for 2 nights before and 1 night after a... More

Good value for your money. The personalities of the staff was interesting though. Not the usual service friendly people. Girl at counter and portier were nice! The breakfastlady was the worst. Rude.. Just ok breakfast.

Venice is a place that you can truly get lost in. The fact that this hotel was only a few 100 meters walk from Santa Lucia station was great as you would just turn left and walk. The hotel staff including the gentleman at breakfast were really helpful. The room was quant and had the venetian touches. However the bed... More

Needed an hotel close to station for a very late arrival: Amadeus is ideal as you reach it with a very short walk. Rooms are small but with good air conditioning. Breakfast is excellent. Good service and very good value for money, being in Venice.

Easy walk from the bus terminal. We had a 3rd floor double room, with an outside terrace. Room had a mini fridge and a built in safe. Powerful shower and decent air-conditioning. Buffet breakfast offering hot and cold choices enjoyed in the shady garden. Staff helpful and courteous. Free wi-fi.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
