Not sure about the 4 star standing. Although it was quiet and was in a great location, the rooms were very tiny and the wallpaper looked like it had seen better days. This hotel is blessed with a great location being close enough to St Marks Square to visit within minutes but equally tucked away enough to be away from the crowds. After some difficulty in finding the hotel (even with printed directions), it turned out to be quite a surprising gem. The staff was very helpful and pleasant and everyone spoke English well.
