The hotel is located in the corner of St. Mark's Square next to the St. Mark's. Getting to the front desk with luggage is difficult, you have to ring the bell and staff will come help you since there are many stairs. When we arrived our room was not ready, so they offered us a complementary drink while we waited.... More

I've stayed there before in 2003 and in 2005 and I've always wanted to alert others that I walked into my room with staff going thru my luggage. I complained, nothing happened. Opened my luggage when arrived in Rome, my new leather coat, GONE! Called again to the front desk, sorry, couldn't help me. Rooms are nice, staff at desk... More

This is my only statement about "value", regarding the hotel and Venice: I thought I was prepared for the financial commitment it takes to travel to Venice ... yet I was still surprised by the expense of it all. I will do my best to describe the hotel, you the guest (who undoubtedly has a price already for the hotel)... More

You can not beat this location. When you get lost in Venice - and you will- you can always find your way back. I would not recommend the area around the hotel for dinner though. We tried a couple of places that were just OK. Our room was fairly big with 2 windows that we didn't open (it's very warm... More

Loved the location Our room was very nice and we loved the balcony overlooking St Marks Square It is hard getting in and out of Venice with luggage There was a front desk person who was very pushy trying to get us to eat in their dining room, and buying one of their tours. It was him, the others were... More

We booked an anniversary package the night before we arrived in Venice. Hotel Concordia met our expectations. We would stay here again. If you have only a few nights in Venice and want convenient access, the location of the hotel is excellent. Although San Marco square is crawling with day-trip tourists, the historic meeting place invites an uncrowded romantic stroll... More

Given that Venice is a tourist trap on a grand scale, the Concordia actually delivered on its promises. Room requested overlooking St. marks was just that. Restaurant and bar were very nice, in fact one would do well to patronize the restaurant rather than the tourist oriented cafes near by with ridiculous seating charges tacked onto the bill. The best... More

This hotel was amazing. It was literally within a few steps of St Marks Square and was central to everything in Venice. the hotel staff were very freindly especially Luca and Leigh. The breakfast was fantastic because it included fresh fruit salad, croissants, yogurt, pastries, just a great variety. the rooms were well maintained and the bathrooms were clean. the... More

Great location, room 312 is fantastic with a balcony with view of St Mark’s square; you can fall asleep to sounds of the orchestra and wake up to church bells. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Grand Canal and all attractions just a short walk. If you have time take a vaporetto to Lido. Had the best vegetable soup in my... More

Excellant location, staff very accomadating, Reasonable room rates considering location, Room smaller that expected, just a few bits to keep in mind. We were concerned of how to get to this hotel from airport, as we were arriving quite late, & contacted hotel for help. They offered to send a (english speaking) hostess to pick us up for €150, I... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
