This is a cute hotel, very comfortable in an old world style. Great breakfast in an intimate stylish environment. The staff are helpful and unbelievably friendly from the door man to reception and room cleaners. Which seemed novel in venice generally.

This is an older style hotel with rooms around the halls up and down 1 stair or 2 stairs. We booked two rooms together but they were not available. So our kids room was more an internal room and our room looked out the back onto shopping alley. I found the rooms a little dark. Our room overlooking the alley... More

This Hotel helped to make our 40th wedding anniversary trip to Venice amazing.wonderful staff,so attentive and genuinely friendly.Happy hour with the very attentive and sweet Farouk and Veronica was a must. We stayed three nights, and apart from the poor lighting in the room we couldn't fault it. Italian croissants with the wonderful choice of breakfast dishes are a must. The... More

This hotel sits right on the edge of St Marks square. From our room we could see the side door of the basilica. You would expect noise but the combination of shutters and thick black out curtains that they close for you at turndown and padded wallpaper means it is one of the quietest rooms I have ever slept in.... Great location! The hotel is just around from St. Marks Square. The room was spacious. Great staff, courteous & attentive. The breakfast was ample & delicious. Our room overlooked St. Marks Square. A bit noisy at night. Overall great value.

Best view in town if San Marco plaza is what you like. Amazing location, great staff! Breakfast is very good and served on the 2nd floor overlooking the plaza. Staff at the reception was beyond helpful and friendly. Good shopping just outside the hotel as well as great little coffee shops and restaurants!

The location is unbelievable- right on St Marks Square. The staff are friendly and helpful. Public rooms are good, though compact. Good bar and restaurant service. Breakfast buffet was ample. Our rooms overlooked the square. They were clean and well appointed, though one bathroom was a little cramped. But for where it is, this hotel is a gem- and easy... More

We stayed for 4 nights in May. Very helpful reception and friendly!! Rooms are very clean and breakfast is certainly adequate. There were always eggs, bacon, fresh juice, assorted breads, cakes and jams. Only negative is the beds are hard as rocks! And pillows are flat. They brought extra pillows within 15 minutes of requesting them. Not near a canal... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The rich, multicoloured marble and elegant lines of the St. Mark's Basilica brightened by the sunlight, reflecting on the windows of Hotel Concordia, the only hotel in the city of the Doges directly in St. Mark's Square, beside the Neo-classical See of the patriarch of Venice.A building that has been accommodating Italian and foreign visitors to Venice for more than three centuries. The Beggiato family has been expertly running the hotel over three generations, adding its own tradition since the start of the 20th century when Mr. Tiberio Beggiato turned what was a small guesthouse into a renowned hotel. Ever since, the women of the Beggiato family have kept the family tradition alive, proficiently merging customs and innovation, tending to the premises as they tend to their homes. ... more   less
