This an old hotel and with decor to match the venetian style, yet it offers the guest a romantic, old world charm and relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in balcony room facing St Marco Piazza, the Basilica and of cause the Bell Tower. The hotel is a hop skip and jump from all thing Venice, shops of all description, clothing shops... More

I am certain this hotel has some very nice rooms, because my husband and I honeymooned here thirty years ago. Unfortunately, the room we received this time was dilapidated and worn (see photos). When we expressed our discontent, the hotel staff were very kind and showed us another room, sadly this second room was worse than the first room. Having... More

We stayed for three nights this past July and were very pleased with the hotel Concordia. The staff were very helpful and professional. The hotel was in very nice shape with old world charm. It's location right across from St. Mark's cathedral was super convenient also. Our room was small but clean and well appointed. What can you expect from... More

The hotel is smack in the middle of St Marco Square area. Our room actually looked out onto the square. Hotel is delightful and Venice is fantastic. Rooms are a little tired (it's an old building) but very clean and well maintained. The food is not super brilliant but reasonable and there are so many eating spots nearby. Don't go... More

This is a cute hotel, very comfortable in an old world style. Great breakfast in an intimate stylish environment. The staff are helpful and unbelievably friendly from the door man to reception and room cleaners. Which seemed novel in venice generally.

This is an older style hotel with rooms around the halls up and down 1 stair or 2 stairs. We booked two rooms together but they were not available. So our kids room was more an internal room and our room looked out the back onto shopping alley. I found the rooms a little dark. Our room overlooking the alley... More

This Hotel helped to make our 40th wedding anniversary trip to Venice amazing.wonderful staff,so attentive and genuinely friendly.Happy hour with the very attentive and sweet Farouk and Veronica was a must. We stayed three nights, and apart from the poor lighting in the room we couldn't fault it. Italian croissants with the wonderful choice of breakfast dishes are a must. The... More

This hotel sits right on the edge of St Marks square. From our room we could see the side door of the basilica. You would expect noise but the combination of shutters and thick black out curtains that they close for you at turndown and padded wallpaper means it is one of the quietest rooms I have ever slept in.... Great location! The hotel is just around from St. Marks Square. The room was spacious. Great staff, courteous & attentive. The breakfast was ample & delicious. Our room overlooked St. Marks Square. A bit noisy at night. Overall great value.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The rich, multicoloured marble and elegant lines of the St. Mark's Basilica brightened by the sunlight, reflecting on the windows of Hotel Concordia, the only hotel in the city of the Doges directly in St. Mark's Square, beside the Neo-classical See of the patriarch of Venice.A building that has been accommodating Italian and foreign visitors to Venice for more than three centuries. The Beggiato family has been expertly running the hotel over three generations, adding its own tradition since the start of the 20th century when Mr. Tiberio Beggiato turned what was a small guesthouse into a renowned hotel. Ever since, the women of the Beggiato family have kept the family tradition alive, proficiently merging customs and innovation, tending to the premises as they tend to their homes. ... more   less
