3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012 NEW

I was at this hotel two weeks ago and it was my 6th stay in 13 years. I have written before about this hotel but feel I have to do another review as I feel it has gone downhill since my last visit. It is looking tired and scruffy. When you are paying 250 euros a night you don't expect... More

75 yards from the water taxi and train station and convenient to the major sights. A bit of a hike (20 min) to San Marco and the Rialto Bridge... Had a lovely room facing the back-nice and quite. Great bath with up-scale toiletries which we hoarded for the rest of our trip. Great archetecture as the building was a former... More

The hotel has a fabulous location on the Grand Canal beside the train station. In front of the hotel are all the main water-bus stops. The room was small in typical Venetian style. The bathroom needs updating-very basic and not 4 star standard. Adequate breakfast but not memorable. Helpful staff but do not ask for advice on places to eat... More

Stayed here for one night, picked the hotel as it was close to the station. We have stayed in Venice before and know how prices can be on the high side, however we found this hotel very overpiced for what you got, even by Venice standards. We paid €340 for one night for 2 of us! Lovely room and good... More

Total support on the title: Stayed in the hotel for two nights, the first at a terrible room and the second at a very nice room... So, how can you really rate the hotel? Depends on what ROOM you get! First Room: Terrible experience, the hotel was totally booked so they could not take us somewhere else. The room was... More

Location is awesome only 200m from St Lucia train station so you don't have to cart your luggage over bridges and stairs, down side is that it's quite a walk to San Marco & Rialto but its all pretty and easy walking so not a down side at all really. Breakfast was good. Free wifi in lobby only. Service great.... More

This is a lovely central hotel, full of old world charm, very elegant. Very close to the vaporetto stop. Staff very helpful and friendly and they will book any tours etc for you. I had a problem with the fridge in our room and it was never fixed even though I asked four times!! so we couldn't use the mini... More

Booked this hotel through Expedia; Very disappointing! Had been here 5 years ago and had a very nice room but this time was different. Room [No 116] was on the ground floor in what appeared to be an extension of the hotel. Room was very long and dark with only one small window at the end. No Air Con and... More

This hotel has easy access to the Santa Lucia train station. For those arriving by vaporetto, you will want to take the Ferrovia stop. The location is great for easy exploration, good restaurants and snack bars are close at hand. More

The location is the highlight for this hotel. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the train station so it is very convenient place to drop your bags and start exploring quickly. It is also conveniently placed at the bridge over the Grand Canal so you can explore inner Venice or stay on the hotel side and walk down... More
