If you stay at this hotel you have to have a room with view, room 304 has a view to die for, see the photos, it truly is spectacular from the lovely bathroom with spa bath to the tasteful furnishings and great size to the 3 balconies.....yes 3 balconies ! The view is what dreams are made of and worth... More

No views in standart rooms, dark and humid rooms. But the location is one of the best. Don't beleive to the photos on internet. Hotel personel isn't welcoming tourists. 2 different hotels are present. Other one is next to Savoia and hard to find it.

A very nice comfortable hotel close to everything. The junior suites were very nice with a great water view. The AM breakfast was very good and included. Bell service was excellent as well as the check-in.

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights in January. We wanted to stay in a 'Venetian' style hotel. This met the brief. The location was extremely handy for arrival and departure and close to lots of restaurants/shops. The room was a little squeezy but we didn't mind (Massive king size bed & 2 portable single beds). Room was... More

The room was very nicely built up and the location is best in the city. Thought the view from our room was nil. The breakfast was nice. Whereas on second day I had to check out early in the morning around 5.30 am, so last night inquiring about the breakfast timing I was informed that the breakfast boxes would be... More

This is a great hotel ideally situated for sight seeing and restaurants, we had a standard room which was spotless my only issues was the lack of tea & coffee making facilities and there was only one plug socket in the room to charge our cameras and phones, we managed though and would definitely use this hotel again when we... My husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights. It was recommended by friends who have stayed there twice before so we were confident it would be fine. The location is fantastic! 2 mins walk from the San Zaccara stop which is great for arriving and departing to the airport. There is a little shop a few doors... More

This hotel is a wonderful find in the city of Venice. Perfect location with less than a minute walk to St. Marks square. Book the jr suite with balcony. You won't regret it! Balconies are rare for hotels in Venice, and this room has a million dollar view of the lagoon with Campo San Giorgio Maggiore & Campo Santa Maria... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
