We stayed at this hotel from July 7-9 as part of an Insight Vacation tour called the Italian Escapade. We had two rooms (connecting) as I was travelling with my husband and two children aged 14 and 11. My boys room was honestly a shoe box. They had to crawl over each other to get to the bathroom. NO WAY... More

You hop out of your train upon arrival, walk outside to the left a little, walk the bridge over the Grand Canal make a right and walk about 2 blocks. Yes, it was hot in August dragging your bag up some stairs and over the bridge but very close. We enjoy walking and getting local flavor so the walk to... More

Just a lovely hotel, with great atmosphere! The service was great, exactly as it should be! The location might be a bit far from all the sights (not within walking distance), although I didn't mind to take the ferry one bit, it only took 10 minutes to get where you needed to be. Rooms were comfy, clean and had a... More

We were here for two nights. Disappointed with the small room and not much storage for clothes or suitcases - but I guess it's typical of area considering age. Would have loved a room with a view, but heard others say that those rooms are very noisy as the traffic on canal is busy. Nice to sit out front and... More

my wife and i spend a couple of nights at this hotel this summer. sadly, we were unable to get the rooms facing the grand canal as they were not available. the hotel has an old world charm to it and even the rooms feel straight out of that era. though there is some noise that filters into the rooms... We were resident here for three nights in July. The Hotel staff were both helpful and friendly. They went the extra mile to change our room look after our baggage. The rooms were comfortable but not very large, which I believe is typical of Venice. We found the air conditioning was essential to our stay as the temperature was in... More
