We stayed at this hotel last week as part of a Riviera Travel 5 day break. On arrival we decided to upgrade to a room overlooking the Grand Canal and it was a great choice. Particularly so as it was the day of the annual regatta and we were able to watch the procession from the comfort and coolness of... More

This was the hotel we like the least during our tour of Italy. It has a nice patio that looks over the grand canal and the staff was nice but the whole hotel could use some paint and carpet. It is quite worn down. The rooms and bathrooms were very small. I think there are better places to stay in... More

The bathtub drain in our room flooded the bathroom and bedroom twice. When we asked to be moved to another room, we were declined. Although the location is breathtaking and rooms decorated with Merano glass fixtures, the service was less than friendly.

Stayed here only 1 night, Our room got free upgrade to Junior suite as we could enjoy the views of grand canal from a window. The room was well decorated, luxury and spacious . It was such a great experience. There is complimentary boat taking us to Murano, I am not sure whether it is only for the guests of... More

A really nice hotel right on the Grand Canal. It's not central, but very convenient for the train station and the water bus service. Our room was a bit small but comfortable. The restaurant looked expensive, but proved to be better value than some local eateries.

My husband, my niece and I stayed in this hotel in July of 2014. It was a very nice hotel. My niece had a separate room in our triple. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our corner room had a view of the Canal and a beautiful bell tower. It was a short walk to catch the water bus and... More

Just stayed four nights in this very nice hotel. I was worried after reading some reviews but need not have been concerned. The location is excellent and our room, with a balcony overlooking Grand Canal was small but comfortable and very clean. Air conditioning was a little erratic however but wifi was fine. Reception staff were courteous and efficient at... More

We were staying at this hotel for two nights as prelude to a cruise. The hotel is ideally situated on the grand canal and is close to station. The rooms we were in were quite plain but clean. The staff in restaurant at breakfast were not very friendly, quite surly in fact, tables not cleaned and breakfast item selection was... More

We stayed here for 2 nights pre-cruise. It is a great location as the train station and the vaparetto stop were only about a block or 2 away. The breakfast was a buffet and had a nice assortment to choose from. In the evenings we enjoyed drinks while sitting on their patio area overlooking the Grand Canal. Unfortunately, the wait... More

We stayed in the Hotel Principe July/August 2014. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station and water bus terminus. There are lots of really good restaurants nearby and if you walk to the side streets just 10mins away you will find some fantastic little bistros where the food is typically venetian and the prices are very...
