Maybe we were just lucky, but the room was so big we could invite four more friends and we'd still be able to dance waltz in there. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Very clean room, though a bit shabby furniture. But I guess that's the charm you expect in Venice. Everyone raved about the location, which is great if you like... More

Unbelievable location, quick boat trip from station. They check rooms daily after being cleaned if you require any extra towels or anything they can help you with. Always will to help and breakfast was great with the usual Italian breakfast. Love this place and its old rich decor. Will be back !!

Hotel well located just across from Rialto Bridge. Antique hotel. At the chek in assigned a room outside the main building, maybe because overbooking, we had to go through two outer streets to get to another building. Breakfast room to small.

This Hotel is in a great location right near the Rialto Bridge. It was a bit of a rabbit warren to get to our room as it was out the back no view but that was ok only sleeping there. Room was a good size bed was comfortable large bathroom with a bath , The continental breakfast was great plenty... More

The view from our room was of the Rialto Bridge... does it get better than that! Upon our arrival, we find out our room has been upgraded. It was Spectacular! The room was comfy, as were the beds. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, always making sure we had what we needed. We shopped on the bridge, walked the... More

This is a very good quality of accommodation, in a brilliant location. although not located in the main hotel but next door and entered through a side door of the hotel. We had the largest room we stayed in our 3 weeks of travel through Italy. We had plenty of room to open out our cases, there was a decent... More

We booked to stay here through travel bound for the weekend of 9/27/13 back in December of 2012. We confirmed our reservations prior to leaving for Europe with no problems. We traveled to Germany first and were informed by the travel agent the night before our trip to Venice that the hotel had overbooked their reservations and they no longer... More

Ca' Rialto offers all the amenities and service of the Hotel Rialto without the expense of being on the waterfront. It is located in the back of the Rialto and you reach it through s passageway on the back of the hotel. Our room was the most spacious we have seen in our entire trip and the staff helped us... We stayed in the beautiful room featured on the website, for two nights. Truly stunning at first glance, though after a while there we did see some watermarks and signs of age, and it was a bit musty- to be expected in an old city built on water, perhaps. That didn't detract at all from the enjoyment of a truly... More

Ok, so Cà Rialto is nothing flash. Actually, it's really very average, but it was clean, had everything we needed in a comfortable bed, good shower and simple bathroom, but best of all was its location. Really, most people will arrive in Venice with some luggage and will be coming off one of the boats from the train station or... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
