Nice apartment, good kitchen, two bathrooms, working Wi-Fi. Location is perfect, a bit off the major touristic attractions, but still close enough. Quiet neighborhood. Just a few hundred meters from the harbor .

ideal location, ver close to san marco square and the apartments are in very good condition and with comfortable spaces. We are a family with 6 children we divided in 2 apartments. We have been very pleased with this place where we stayed for four nights in October 2015. The location is ideal as it is both close from San Marco and landing sites at Ospedale or San Zaccaria, and very calm. We had a one-room studio for three persons, with two bathrooms and a kitchen, located on the ground floor. It... More

This was a super apartment with all the amenities: clean, wifi, comfy bed, large airy rooms, and a staff who really want to help with the experience. The location is on a canal in a mostly local neighborhoodabout 6 blocks walk from San Marco Square. Note that all transport is on foot, expensive private taxi or public water boat with... More

A great apartment hotel. We had two apartments as the 2 bedroom apartment was not available. The ground floor are smaller more dark and a bit stuffy, however it is still very high standard and if wouldn't have the second apartment (on first floor) we probably wouldn't get into this comparison. The staff is very nice and as you know... More

Modern, spacious, well equipped and very clean apartment located in a quiet street but only a short walk to ferry terminals and St Marks etc. The staff were very friendly and devoted to making our stay as pleasant as possible, including the pre-arrival communications and instructions. Only downside was that we did not stay longer.

This is an amazing apartment. Close to the major attractions yet off the main traffic ways. Very clean. Beautiful layout. Spacious and quiet. Veronica, at the reception desk, was extremely helpful with tips on locations of grocery stores, ATMs, and places to eat.

The apartments are in a very good location not far from the main sights but away from the crowds. Able to walk to everywhere. The staff were friendly and gave some good tips on where to eat, where to catch the ferry to Burano and booking a water taxi to the railway. However their hours are limited. Most of the... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
