We went to Venice for our 25th wedding anniversary and spent a week in this hotel. This was in March, 2011. We had Beautiful view from our corner room. Thevlevatoe didn't go up to our floor and the stairs were steep, but we were welcomed with a bottle of champaigne to help us celebrate. I loved it! More

The reception offered excellent and helpful service throughout our stay - the staff could speak fluent English and French. They arranged a free trip for us by water taxi to a glass factory, and it didn't involve any hard selling to escape - a really nice trip. Yes, the hotel is old - but in the middle of historic Venice,... More

I have recently visited the rialto hotel for three nights. The location is perfect right next to the rialto bridge and a five minute walk from st marks square. The rooms are spacious but can get very humid so put the air con on! The staff are very polite and helpful. The breakfast is quite basic pastries, yogurt fruit and... More

We checked in May 1, 2012. The only saving grace of this hotel is the location! The hotel is old! It needs to be renovated! The aircondition is not working. The rate of the hotel is exoensive!!!!! Its not worth the amount they are charging!!!!! Judy More

Location of this hotel is great. Easy to get to by ferry right off the Grand Canal. The actual hotel wasn't amazing, a bit tired looking and the room was very small, especially considering the room cost. Service was average and staff not too friendly (but we did find this typical across much of italy). Breakfast was simple but adequate.... More

Venice is pricey and touristy. If you want to have a "Venice Experience" then this is a fine hotel to stay at IF you have a room with canal view. Like a lot of older hotels "with character", this place can ramble around a little bit. So what you get can be kind of a crap shoot. But if you... More

This hotel was recommended by our travel agent, rightly, for its positon. The hotel is right on the Grand Canal, next to the Rialto Bridge, a vaporetto stop and other necessities. BUT the place is in desperate need of a clean-up and upgrade for the prices (Venice is expensive for everything). The lift only goes up ONE FLOOR so if... More

To read some of the reviews you would think that people stayed at totally different hotels. This may in part be due to the fact that the hotel appears to be an amalgamation of at least three buildings knocked into one. I can only comment on our experience. Firstly, the room was at the top up six flights of stairs.... More

Located right next to the iconic Rialto Bridge and overlooking the Grand Canal, our room at The Rialto Hotel was richly decorated in the ornate Venitian style, and the views from our windows were to die for. Our room was very large by European standards and the bed was very comfy. Sure it's a bit expensive but we figured we'd... More
