Hotel San Zulian is perfectly situated just one minute away from the north-east corner of San Marco's square. It's an ideal base and starting point within the maze that is central Venice, and is thus especially recommended for newbies. Nearby you will find restaurants, bakeries, cafes, desert shops, gelato, practically everything you need. It's a wonderfully convenient location. Our room... More

Good: - very close to the center and therefore makes walking around convenient - rooms are so-so Bad: - poor room heating system. We stayed during the winter season and we were freezing. - Hot water is inconsistent. At the hottest level, the water sometimes turns warm. It was problematic because, again, we stayed during the winter. - not so... More

Timing your arrival to Venice in the beginning of peak season is everything, before 10am and after 3pm everyday is the quiet period. Unfortunately this was not the case for us and hence dragging suitcases through the streets of Venice over canals and down alley ways to your hotel when confronted with a mass of humanity blocking your every step... This was our first trip to Venice and this hotel met our needs very well. It is close to San Marco square and the water taxis. There are quite good little eateries around and a beautiful church close by. We loved the old style room we had and the staff were very helpful, speaking excellent English. A great breakfast was... Great location, very close to the Realto Bridge and to San Marco Square. The staff is nice and helpful, they speak english. The rooms are very clean with an old vintage style, with a nice bathroom. We had a quadruple room with 4 single beds. The breakfast was really good with many choices. Good hotel with low budget. I highly... More

This is a 3 star hotel with a 4 star price. Location is the only good feature. Its a 5 minute walk to San Marco square and it has a dock at a very short distance. The latter is very important in Venice in order avoid pulling your luggage to San Marco square where most boats depart to the railway... More

The strength of this hotel is its location. Consideration needs to be given to the trade off between the good location and the basic nature of this hotel. The rooms are large however we had a window that opened onto the outdoor breakfast dinning, therefore our room was dark as we could not open the window. The rooms have a... More

The best of this hotel is its location, very close to Piazza San Marco, one of the most important landmarks in Venice. The room was clean and it had a nice view. Bathroom was very unique and clean too. Breakfast is continental but you have more choices than in some other hotels. Cappuccinos were great! Service was very good too.... More

This hotel is not the best in Venice by far but it was perfect for our needs. Me and my 2 boys stayed in room 303, it was very clean. The beds were freshly made every day and we were given clean towels daily also. Breakfast was continental, which was good. The San Zulian is 3 mins away from St... More

A nice Hotel not far from the main Square. Breakfast and the coffee were good. spent 2 nights. a lot of walking, shopping and great restaurants very close to hotel. Felt safe and secure. The room was kind of small but were were also 4 adults. I would stay here again.
