We were located in room 302 for 3 nights. The room was rather small with a small bathroom. The furnishings were basic and adequate. The hotel location near St. Marks Square is ideal and convenient to many of the Venice attractions. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was adequate. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We were originally put in room 305 (just as previous reviewer). You take an elevator to the 3rd floor, which is really the 4th floor, then take a narrow flight of steep stairs to get to the 300 # rooms, except for room 305, which requires an additional flight of very narrow, steep stairs (5th floor). And watch your head!!... More

We stayed here for 2 days in June We were first located in room 305. Be prepared to take your cases up the steepest narrow stairs with no help from the staff. Room was very small with bathroom squeezed in under the roof. Staff very unfriendly. Breakfast was very poor standard and very little to offer. We then moved to... More

This is just off St Marco Square and so very convenient. Clean old building that has been recently refurbished. It is pretty stark though with a few leather bucket chairs at reception and a small room used to serve ( continental) breakfast. Our room was large but dark and rather miserable. Flat screen TV. Large wet room with - curiously... More

Stayed here for my mums 60th birthday and it was incredible. As well as Venice being possibly the most idyllic place on earth this hotel was in the centre of it all. A stones throw from S.marco and in amongst all the shops and restaurants. The hotel itself was very clean, rooms were comfy (especially when we worked out how... More

We were originally books into the Hotel Canalleto, but unbeknown to us our AMX card had been illegally used by some one in India, so AMX cancelled our card for security reasons.WE had been away for two weeks so we were not aware of this till we arrived at the Hotel, to be told we no longer had a booking. They... More

Stayed in double room 203 over Easter. Room size ok, quiet. Clean. Bathroom smallish, but good enough for a few days. It's venice... Super location, 3 mins from S Marco. Good restaurant tips. Helpful overall. Breakfast basic but enough. Lack of space for Breaky, though. Would come back.

We stayed here last weekend and what a lovely hotel. The staff where friendly and helpful. The room was charming and the bathroom although modern was very clean. It was a perfect location to St Mark's square and the Rialto bridge and i would have no hesitation recommending or staying here again.

I have stayed at the San Zulian three times in the last few years. It offers excellent value, especially given its location (about 2 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco, 5 minutes from the Rialto). Rooms are a good size by the standards of lower priced Venice hotels (I think a lot of us have had the experience of sleeping... More

Hotel is in a perfect location & is really close to St Marks square with plenty of restaurants in the same area. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Room was basic but very spacious, clean & quiet. If we return to Venice I will certainly rebook Hotel San Zullian
