Stayed here for 3 nights and basically dreaded it since day 1. The room was small, the lights flickered, had flys in the room and staff were rude. Told the hotel about the lights and were told that it will get fixed, but it never got done. Breakfast was less than mediocre so it was good that there were lots... More

Its really a 4 star hotel located at a central location. This place is easily accessible via water taxi, water bus, central station and by walk. The room quality and size was great. The staff and other facilities were of 4 star quality and nothing to complain about.

The location could not have been better, beautiful views of the canal but the customer service we received at the front desk was terrible! No one seemed pleased to be working there. We had a little issue with our room and they didnt want to deal with it and arrange for a new room. When they finally decided to give... More

Hotel Continenal is a wonderful hotel, right on the Grand Canal, just a short walk from the train station. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating; a great breakfast; rooms nicely decorated and a nice size. Restaurants nearby and a great 'strolling' area.

This old and classical hotel is situated in an excellent location within very easy walking distance of the train station, water bus pickups, shops and great restaurants. Service in the hotel was good and overall good value. A few small negatives however: 1. There is a very tiny lift, so anyone who is a little bit on the heavy side... More

There are various ways to get to Venice. If you choose to come by plane or bus, then you need to approach Venice by boat from a particular point on the "mainland". If you come by train, the train station is right in the heart of Venice. My recommendation is to take the train (Venenzia San Lucia station not Venezia... More

Convenient location to the train and to ferrovia vaparetto stop. Good sized rooms and reasonable breakfast. Our room had a grand canal view which was lovely. Staff were stiff but accomodating. Negatives were a lousy shower (really just a bathtub with hose attachment - no curtain), and very inconsistent wifi.

The location is good, close to the train and bus station. The restaurant is on the Grabd Canal, so breakfast is nice on the terrace if you beware the seagulls and pugeons. The hotel is old, but well maintained. The staff was friendly. The rooms are old, not very nice, the bathrooms was redecorated, new and the bed was fine.... More

The location for me was excellent - I wanted a hotel that did not require me to have to negotiate the boats and canals and this was exactly that. It is a 5 minute walk from the station. It is as mentioned on one of the other reviews a good walk if you want to be near San Marco. There... More

We stayed here the last couple if days of our honeymoon and we enjoyed it very much. The hotel is very central, just 3 minute walk from the train station and near the "vaporetta" boat station that will get you almost anywhere. The room although small was very clean. The breakfast could have a larger variety of breads and cakes.... More
