Enjoyed our accommodations at the Hotel Continental in Venice which was located on Grand Canal and within easy access of water as well as rail transportation. Accommodations were good and front desk staff were extremely helpful and professional. We decided to have dinner in the first floor restaurant. Started with drinks from the bar and then moved to seating for... More

The building the hotel is located in is 600 years old, we were told. It is a multifunction building with the hotel rooms on one floor. The rest of the building is occupied by residents that live there. The entrance is directly across one of the gates to the Boboli gardens. It is also about a 20-25 min walk to... More

Good location, and our room was OK for one night, however, the food leaves much to be desired. They charge a fortune for the view, but the food quality is low, and the service awkward. Every course was bought out under a cover, but unfortunatly we were still half way through the previous course, so it was put on the... More

We enjoyed our stay so much some six years ago we decided to come back again. The service, rooms and breakfast are as good if not better than we remembered. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at Hotel Ala once again. The hotel is located close to the Giglio Vaparetto stop, albeit it's relatively short walk to San Marco square.... More

No lift service available during our stay and hence has to take steps to first floor walk about 300 mts in "U" shape, then take another staircase for accessing our rooms 2121 and 2125. Rooms are spacious but looks outdated. Wifi was ok Staff was not accommodative, rude and not friendly. Ex: 1. I asked for a possibility of late... More

This hotel is in the perfect location. Grand canal at it's rear and definitely in the more relaxed part of town. It is within 1min of the train station and water bus stop. Great for an evening stroll and choice of restaurants on the door step is ideal. The decor throughout is dated. I guess they're going for a 70s... More

Great hotel that was in excellent location. It was located 1 minute by walk from the Venezia Santa Lucia train station. They gave us a room with a view of the Grand Canal. However, there was no shower door and all the water from the shower kept going onto the tiles making it slippery (I nearly slipped). And when we... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and basically dreaded it since day 1. The room was small, the lights flickered, had flys in the room and staff were rude. Told the hotel about the lights and were told that it will get fixed, but it never got done. Breakfast was less than mediocre so it was good that there were lots... More

Its really a 4 star hotel located at a central location. This place is easily accessible via water taxi, water bus, central station and by walk. The room quality and size was great. The staff and other facilities were of 4 star quality and nothing to complain about.
