Furniture looks old but room quite spacious and facilities in good condition. Breakfast is adequate. Consider good location - near train station, you have cafe/eat places around . One of the cheaper hotel around the same area. more

We booked several hotels using the reviews of travelers for our trip. This was the first hotel that disappointed us on all levels. We are not fussy people and do not travel first class, but I think a 3 star rating is not correct on this hotel. Lobby is extremely depressing to enter. Furniture lined up in rows, no tables,... more

After the old bait and switch routine landed us at the Universo Nord Hotel (see my write-up of the Hotel Martee e Biasin for the backstory), we were prepared for the worst. Let's start with the best part of this hotel: the staff. The hotel staff was the friendliest and most pleasant of all the ones we encountered on our... more

We have just returned from our third stay in this hotel. As ever, efficient and friendly receptionists, enough breakfast to keep some people going all day, (some did with their takeaway, mostly Orientals and North Americans). The room was clean and tidy, and was cleaned and changed daily. There was an apology for the room being on the top floor,... more

I can't understand why there are bad reviews on this hotel. I have stayed in the hotel and I can only say that I was totally satisfied with the service. it is an EXCELLENT hotel. The service is good. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. When I arrived, I gave the receptionist my name, and without checking on his computer... more

I cannot say enough against this awful place. I have been all over the world from campsites and hostels in Africa and Asia, all over Europe - I lived in Italy for three years and know Venice well, so I know what else is out there and how badly this place compares. Our bed was not for two people but... more

1. Rude front desk people 2. Very small room 3. TV didn't work 4. Smallest shower I've ever seen 5. Hair dryer didn't work 6. Decent location - close to train station and not a far walk to sites 7. We saw the breakfast and left to eat elsewhere. more

just fine

This is an old venetian building, labyrinthine and with some beautiful old floors and some huge mirrors, but growing old gracefully. Rooms are basic, modernised enough to have bathrooms and a tv, but still have wonderful old wooden shutters to keep out noise and cold or heat. Clean towels every day, and bed linen too often to be good for... more

Yes, the hotel has a great location, it is close to the train station, the restaurants around are the last to close at night, which is very convenient. I paid only 80 euros for a small, one single bed room, it was clean, with a t.v., mini fridge and A.C. The staff during the day were very nice, friendly and... more
